Death Penalty
New death penalty rules have been added for the Classic Server:
4% XP Loss Upon Death from any Monsters, Normal characters in PvP, and Chaotic characters
Items do not drop upon a character’s death (including Chaotic characters)
A random item in a chaotic character’s inventory will be destroyed upon death if they have 4 or
more PKs
PK System
The act of killing another player by forcible attack (attack while holding down the Ctrl key) is called PK
(Player Killing), and a character who has made a PK is given a penalty through the PK system.
If your PK number is greater than or equal to 1, then the quest can be performed to reduce the
PK value up to 1 at a time (quest can be repeated)
Receive a Sin Eater Agathion for 30 Gemstones (B-grade) to use the ‘Hour of Penitence’ skill to
Collect 50 Crumbs of Penitence to complete the quest.
o Must have an Agathion Bracelet to equip the Sin Eater Agathion
The quest can be carried out through the Dark Judge NPC who is located in the following areas:
o South of Floran Village
o South of the Entrance to the Wasteland
o North of the Entrance to Hardin’s Academy
Party Bonus
The maximum amount of party members is set to 9 for the Classic Server
The experience gained through hunting while in a party is much higher than the experience gained by
hunting while solo. There is a party experience bonus that increases with the number of party members
in a party.
The XP penalty for killing monsters 3 levels below you has been changed to 5 levels below to help give
players a broader range of hunting targets to choose from according to preference/equipment
conditions.
Test NPC – Monster Eye Patrol
Duel System
The Duel System has been added:
You can apply for a duel with another character through the 'Duel' action in the action window
(Alt + C) or with the /duel command.
If your opponent accepts the duel application, you will proceed to a 1: 1 match.
You can end the duel through the 'Duel Withdrawal' action in the action window (Alt + C) or with
the /withdraw command.
Classes
The original 31 classes are back in the Classic Server with up to the 2nd Class Transfer (Level 40).
The 3rd Class Transfer will be introduced in a future content update.
The Subclass system does not exist in the Classic Server.
Skill Enchanting is currently not available in the Classic Server.
New Class Skills have been added (all skills listed below are at skill level 1):
Skill Changes
The duration of Songs/Dances for Swordsinger/Bladedancer has increased from 2 minutes to 5 minutes
for the following skills:
Spellbook Skills
A Spellbook is a unique item for learning specific skills for each class. If you do not have a spellbook, you
will not be able to learn a specific skill, so it's a good idea to check on the skill tab of your skill window
beforehand to see which spellbook you need for your class.
The spellbook is only required to learn the initial skill and is not required for leveling up the skill
afterwards (requires SP).
Spellbooks can be purchased with Adena from the Grocer NPC Harmony in Gludio Village or the
Spellbook Trader NPC Lorenzo in the Town of Aden.
You can also obtain Spellbooks from Monster drops in different hunting zones throughout the World
Ivory Tower Crater
Sea of Spores
Forest of Mirrors
Enchanted Valley

Transformation Skills
When all classes that have finished the second class transfer reach level 45, they will learn their first
transformation skill automatically. Transformation skills are often unavailable because they have a long
reuse time, but they do not share the reuse time with other transformational skills.
Three new transformation skills have been added for all Classes:
An Elemental Stone is required to use Transformation Skills. A transformation skill cannot be used if
there is no Elemental Stone in your inventory.
The Elemental Stone can be purchased from Pona outside the Luxury Shop in the Town of Giran.

Items
The maximum item grade for equipment is currently B-grade on the Classic Server. A-grade equipment is
not available and will be introduced in a future content update.
Weapons
The weapons that appear on the Classic Server can be classified into 9 weapons. Because each class has
different weapons that can be used effectively, it is better to use a weapon specific to that class.
D~C grade Dual Swords can be crafted at any Blacksmith in Town.
A Dual Weapon Crafting Stamp is required for crafting B-grade Dual Swords, but will only be
available after permanent clan halls have been introduced a short time later.
Crossbows, Rapiers, Dual Daggers, and Dual Blunt Weapons do not exist in the Classic Server.

Armor
There are 3 types of armor: Heavy armor, Light armor, and Robes. Generally, the Knight and Warrior
classes use Heavy armor, and the Dagger and Archer classes use mostly Light armor. The Wizard and
Healer classes will use Robes since they have additional MP bonuses available when worn.
Accessories
The accessories of Lineage II Classic are very diverse, but are normally referred to necklaces, earrings,
and rings. These three types of accessories have a common function that increase magical defense.
Rare Accessories
Some of the various raid bosses in the continent of Aden drop their own accessories. This is generally
called a rare accessory, and it has various additional effects compared to a general accessory.
The following rare accessories will drop from the current Epic Raid bosses in the world:
Item M. Effects How to Obtain
Def.
Queen 32 MP +9, Poison Atk./Resistance +10%, P./ M. Accuracy +1, P./ Queen Ant (Lv. 40)
Ant’s Ring M. Atk. +4%. Epic Raid – Ant Nest

Earring Resistance/ Atk. Rate +10%, Received Healing +2%, Skill MP Raid – Sea of
Consumption -2%. Spores
Rare accessories cannot be enchanted with enchant scrolls since they are now No-grade items.
Bonuses from the rare accessories cannot be stacked (e.g. wearing two Queen Ant’s Rings).
An upgrade path has been added for rare accessories through the Blacksmith NPC Beginns outside the
Luxury Shop in the Town of Giran.
Rare accessories can be upgraded up to three levels. Each time the rare accessory is upgraded, a prefix is
added to the name of the rare accessory. There is no chance for failure to upgrade rare accessories.
Item Enchantment
Weapons, armor, and accessories can be enchanted by using Scroll: Enchant Weapon and Scroll:
Enchant Armor. There are different enchantment scrolls for each grade of weapons and armor. No
Grade items cannot be enchanted. You can use Scroll: Enchant Armor to enchant accessories like rings,
necklaces, and earrings to increase their M. Def. stats.
Almost all weapons and armor can be safely enchanted to +3, but beyond that, success is based on a
pre-defined rate of probability. One-piece type armor can be safely enchanted up to +4.
When enchantment fails, the item will be destroyed and turned into crystals. The number of crystals
generated depends on the item's value (type, grade, and previous enchant value).
A new enchant scroll exchange system has been added to the Weapon Merchant NPC Galladuci in the
Giran Luxury Shop.
You can receive Enchant Scroll Parts from Quest Rewards (A Whisper of Dreams) or opening the Parts of
Enchantment Scrolls Chest, which is rewarded for completing the Weekly Enchantment Quest in the
Mission system. The parts can be exchanged for higher grade enchant scrolls.
There are two new types of enchantment scrolls that have been added:
Weapon Merchant NPC Galladuci also sells the following enchant scrolls for Adena + Crystals:
Scroll: Enchant Weapon (D-grade)
Scroll: Enchant Weapon (C-grade)
When you enchant a weapon more than +4, a blue glow effect is displayed around the weapon. This
effect becomes more and more pronounced with weapon enchantments, and in weapons enchanted
over +16, the effect turns red.
+1 +2 +3 +4
+5 +6 +7 +8
A new visual glow effect has been added to armor sets that have been enchanted to +6 or higher.
Enchant Level (All Set Pieces) Visual Armor Glow
+6 or +7 Silver
+8 or +9 Gold
+10 or higher Blue
B-grade Helmets are now Sealed items and do not receive an armor set effect until they are exchanged
for a Heavy / Light / Robe Helmet through any Blacksmith NPC in town.
Item Name Unsealed Item Unseal Fees
Sealed Zubei’s Helmet Zubei’s Helmet (Heavy / Light / Robe) Adena 77,800
Sealed Avadon Circlet Avadon Circlet (Heavy / Light / Robe) Adena 77,800
Sealed Blue Wolf Helmet Blue Wolf Helmet (Heavy / Light / Robe) Adena 121,000
Sealed Doom Helmet Doom Helmet (Heavy / Light / Robe) Adena 121,000
Augmenting gives the weapon an additional effect with various options that can be given at random.
You can only Augment D~B grade weapons at the Blacksmith Shops in the Town of Giran or Town of
Aden. Walk up to the Anvil in the Blacksmith Shop and begin the process of augmenting or removing an
augment from your weapon.
Life Stones can be acquired from hunting monsters. There is a higher chance of obtaining a higher level
Life Stone from raid boss monsters rather than from an ordinary monster.
A Life Stone and a certain number of Gemstones are required to augment a weapon. The number of
gemstones required for augmenting depends on the type of stone that is used.
Life Stone Type Gemstone Fee Removal Level of Effects and Increase to Stats (Rare
Fee Skills Chance)
Common Life 200 Gemstones (D- 80,000 Low -
Stone grade) Adena
Mid-grade Life 300 Gemstones (C- 240,000 Medium -
Stone grade) Adena
High-grade Life 400 Gemstones (B- 720,000 High +1
Stone grade) Adena
When a weapon is augmented, 2 to 4 random options are given. The augment options are divided into
three types: Effects, Stats, and Skills. Effects and skills vary slightly depending on the type of life stone.
For example, the option to increase the basic stats (STR or INT) is added with a certain probability when
augmenting with a higher-grade life stone. The augment skills associated with the chance skill are also
given only when augmenting with higher-grade life stones.
For reference, the augment tooltip color change with the use of higher level life stones.
Normal – Yellow Tooltip
Medium – Blue Tooltip
High – Purple Tooltip
Rare – Red Tooltip

Agathion System
An Agathion Bracelet is a bracelet that is worn on the left bracelet slot. When you wear the Agathion
Bracelet, the Agathion Slot is activated. The Agathion slot consists of one main slot and three sub slots,
which will be expanded to four sub slots in the future.
Visit Collector NPC Pona outside the Luxury Shop in the Town of Giran to purchase a Lv. 1 Agathion
Bracelet for Adena. You can upgrade the Agathion Bracelet to higher levels at the Blacksmith NPC
Beginns nearby Pona.
Note: The Agathion’s Soul and Blessed Agathion’s Soul items are currently unavailable and will be
introduced in a future game update.
Time-limited Agathion Bracelets from the L2 Store or Chronicle Pack cannot be upgraded.
Agathions Available to Equip
The Soul Crystal system does not exist in the Classic Server and will be replaced with the Rune system,
which will be introduced in a future content update. Mentions of the Rune system are currently present
in the Classic Server UI, but these items cannot be obtained.
The Attribute system is also present in the game UI, but will not be available at launch and will be
introduced later in a future content update.
The item slots for Cloaks, Belts, Pendants, and Brooches are currently present in the Classic Server
inventory UI, but will not be available at launch.
Quests
The first class transfer quests can be accomplished by reaching level 19. If you complete the transfer
quest and reach level 20, you can transfer to the 1st class. Most of the first class quests are carried out
on the continent of Aden, away from the starter villages, and the quest difficulty is relatively low.
The second class transfer quests can be taken after reaching level 35, and if you complete all three
stages of the quests and reach level 40, you can transfer to the second class.
The second class transfer quests have 3 stages and can be taken at level 35, level 37, and level 39.

of up to 16 alphabetical and numerical characters and cannot include spaces or special characters.
The Clan Academy does not currently exist in the Classic Server.
Clan Level
When you first create a Clan, you start at level 0 and can use the basic functions of a Clan. To raise your
Clan's level, go to a High Priest NPC or Grand Master NPC in any village and click on 'Increase Clan’s
Level'. The Max Clan Level that you can reach on the Classic Server is 5.
Each clan level requires a certain amount of Adena and SP, and from level 3+, you need a special item
called Proof of Blood. You can acquire Proof of Blood from hunting Krator and Torfe at Cruma Tower,
and Blood Queen at Dragon Valley.
Clan Halls
Provisional Clan Halls have been added to the game. Unlike regular clan halls, Provisional Clan Halls are
temporary and instanced.

recruiting clan members and those who are seeking to join a clan.
Clans can use the clan joining system to recruit members. Prospective clan members can get a sense of
the clan's temperament by reading the clan's detailed introduction and they can join a clan that fits their
personality. Also, prospective clan members can register on the waiting list to show their personality,
and the clan can use that information to check for characters who want to join the clan.

who join the clan can receive the clan skill. Once acquired, the clan skill is applied semi-permanently
until the clan is disbanded, but the effects of clan skills stop when the reputation of the clan is negative.
Two new active clan skills have been added that restrict the use of teleport items/skills and resurrection
for 30 seconds.
Every clan skill has a different learning cost and clan level requirement. Clan Reputation Points, Adena,
or Blood Crystals may be required for learning a clan skill at different levels.
Note: Blood Crystals used for learning Clan Skills can only be obtained from the Gludio Castle Siege,
which is currently turned off and will be introduced at a later time. The Grayed out skills below can be

special dungeon key.
The Dungeon keys can be used to enter a room in the dungeon to fight a Condemned of Infinity
monster (West) or a Condemned of Abyss (East) monster that drops rewards.
The Catacombs and Necropolis are dungeon-type hunting grounds, which can be accessed by diving
down into the dungeon and teleporting to the hunting ground through Gatekeeper Ziggurat. Inside
these hunting grounds, large and small rooms are made up of complex connected structures, and each
room has a large number of monsters. The Catacomb is a dungeon hunting zone specialized in acquiring
experience and the Necropolis is a dungeon hunting zone specialized in acquiring drops.
Only 1 Catacomb and 1 Necropolis will be available at the Classic Server launch. Other
Catacomb/Necropolis hunting zones are still visible on the Map UI, but cannot be accessed as there are
no level 70+ monsters available to hunt.
Raid Bosses
A raid is a boss monster that has a high level of difficulty. Depending on the raid monster, it may be a
single spawn, or it may spawn several minions to help it fight. Epic Raid Bosses require multiple parties
of players to defeat them.
The following Epic Raid Bosses will be available at the launch of the Classic Server:
Queen Ant (Lv. 40) – Ant Nest
Core (Lv. 50) – Cruma Tower
Orfen (Lv. 50) – Sea of Spores
The spawn status of a raid boss now appears in the World Map.
You can see if a Raid Boss is Alive or Dead by the color of the raid icon on the map corresponding to your
level range.
When the icon is gray, then the Raid Boss was recently defeated.
When the icon is green, then the Raid Boss has spawned and is still alive.
There is a chance for a Death Knight Raid Boss to spawn with a certain probability after you defeat a
Field Raid Boss.
Death Knight will be around the same level as the field raid boss that was defeated.
Death Knight does not give raid points, but will drop the following items depending on his level:
o Scroll: Enchant Weapon (D~B grade)

A Limit Barrier can only be destroyed by striking the raid boss 300 times within 15 seconds.
If the Limit Barrier fails after 15 seconds, then the HP of the raid boss will be fully restored.
The Death Knight Raid Boss that randomly spawns also uses the Limit Barrier skill.
