Several earthquakes originated in different epicentral regions were considered. For this type of structure the flexibility of the soil can decrease the frequency of the fixed base model up to four times. The damping capacity of the soil- structure system is very high, with an equivalent damping ratio up to 0.31. Based on the observed response of the building, the importance of taking into account this phenomenon in the dynamic response analysis of the building is evident.
