TERM OF REFERENCE
Floor Soundproofing – Proposed Extension of DSWD FO1 Old building

PURPOSE:

-To minimize the sound from 3rd floor level of the building and to prevent any disturbances to the lower level
(2nd floor).

OBJECTIVE:

-The main objective is to install soundproofing materials to minimize the sound from 3rd floor level of the
building.
-To stabilize the working environment of 2nd floor level by minimizing sound disturbances.

SCOPE OF WORK:

1. SITE PREPARATION/DEMOBILIZATION
-This work includes mobilization process, provision for safety procedures,warning signs including
barricades and temporary facilities.
-Demobilization procedure shall include clearing of the affected areas from all rubbish, trash, debris and
all superfluous building materials and restore all areas that were damaged as affected by the works and
leave the site clean to the satisfaction of the project inspector or his representative and End-user.
2. INSTALLATION OF ACOUSTIC PANEL
-Before beginning installation, verify actual site conditions are acceptable for the
application/installation of the soundproofing acoustic panel materials must all in accordance with
manufacturer's installation instructions and technical bulletins.
3. TESTING
-Noise Test should be done before and after installation of sound proofing acoustic panel to determine
noise reduction. All completed soundproofed area after installation and application of sealant and
thoroughly dried/cured shall be subjected to noise testing. This is to test the effectiveness and
workmanship of the completed soundproofed areas for possible noise penetration. All defects that will
be found shall be repaired immediately.
4. PROTECTION
-Protect areas where dismantling and installation of sound proofing acoustic panels from damage during
implementation.
-Observe all fire prevention policies and practices.
QUALIFICATION:

1. At least 2 years experience related to soundproofing installation and construction of similar projects.

SUBMISSION CONTENT:

1. The names, address, telephone, fax and email contacts for the firm as well as a corporate profile.
2. The names and bio data of key professional who will be working on the soundproofing installation.
3. A list of previous related projects that has been successfully completed (related to soundproofing projects).
4. Sample of similar types of work that has been successfully completed.
5. The detailed project needs, methodology and task, including timelines.
