Q. Are you favor in cloning in cells? State your argument with proof of evidence from
A. First, let’s discuss about the Cloning in Cells. Cloning is the process of taking
genetic information from one living thing and creating identical copies of it. The copied
material is called a clone. Geneticists have cloned cells, tissues, genes and entire
animals.
Although this process may seem futuristic, nature has been doing it for millions of years.
For example, identical twins have almost identical DNA, and asexual reproduction in
some plants and organisms can produce genetically identical offspring. And scientists
make genetic doubles in the lab, though the process is a little different. First successful
cloning of a mammal. On this day in 1996, Dolly the sheep–the first mammal to have
been successfully cloned from an adult cell–is born at the Roslin Institute in Scotland.
There are three different types of cloning, according to the National Human Genome
Research Institute (NHGRI):
Gene cloning, also called DNA cloning, creates copies of genes, or segments of DNA.
Therapeutic cloning creates embryonic stem cells, which are used to create tissues that
can repair or replace damaged tissues.

ASSIGNMENT #5 GENERAL BIOLOGY I
Yes, I am favor with the cloning. Because It could extend human life capabilities. In the
developed world, the average lifespan is approaching 85 years for top nations. Even in
the United States, the average lifespan is upward of 70 years for men and women. Not
only could cloning help to extend life to even longer lengths, it could be a way to bring
the rest of the world up to the current standards as well. In Sierra Leone, for example,
the average lifespan for an adult male is just 49.3 years of age. It could restore balance
tofamilies.
One of the greatest tragedies that occurs in life is the death of a child. In the United
States, 7 out of every 1,000 children under the age of 5. According to information
published by CNN, firearms kill nearly 1,300 children in the US every year. Sometimes
