Introduction

Ever Memorial Garden was established in 1922, with the main service of burial
offered. The owner and developer, Ever Memorial Garden Inc., settled the 044-hectare
memorial park, located at the boundary of Meycauayan, Bulacan and Valenzuela City,
into one of the biggest and most developed memorial park in the county. Only when the
development works accomplishment reached 90% did the company open its doors to
accrediting salespersons and accepting sales. Additionally, by providing the crematorium
and columbarium services at a time when the memorial park is barely three years old, a
first in the industry, Ever Memorial Garden have perfectly set its direction towards a vision
that would bring it to the fulfillment of its mission.

Burial Lots Prices

The price of burial lots varies as there are different types or categories to choose

Clients in numbers

In a week, the number of clients they have is twenty (20) in average. That is
approximately three (3) clients in a day. The memorial garden’s peak season, on the other
hand, is January to February. Similar to that of funeral services who also get the most
number of clients during the same period.

Requirements

The cemetery needs some certain requirements for the burial process to be held.
The first one is a photocopy of the death certificate for the burial service provider to know
important information about the deceased. A transfer permit is also needed from where
the memorial service is to Valenzuela City where the memorial garden is at. The cemetery
also give the transfer permit a charge of P300. Also, when the deceased is going to be
transferred from Manila an amount of P20 entrance fee to Valenzuela City is also being
collected.

Cemeteries Competition

The competition between cemeteries varies from its price, accessibility, services
offered, and others. The more affordable the price is the more people will want to avail
their service. Since we are living in a time where money is a sensitive issue, mainly
because of how hard it is to earn money, most people make their choices depending on
the price. The accessibility of the cemetery will also be a factor as the more convenient
the way to the cemetery is, the more people would want it. The cemetery’s location would
matter. The services offered by the cemetery is also a decision-making factor as to now,
because of innovation, not only is traditional memorial service is available, memorial
through cremation is also is a choice now, especially with the growing number of people
wanting to do cremation instead of the traditional as an alternative. Ambiance will also be
a factor, like if the cemetery is pleasing in the eyes. If the burial lots are arranged in a
proper manner. Lastly, the uniqueness of the cemetery will also be considered, like what
the specific cemetery offers that others don’t.

Funeral Service to Burial Service

Funeral and Burial are complimentary services that are needed one after the other.
Every time a funeral service is being concluded, a burial service is already being readied,
as it is the ending process of a memorial. Overall, a memorial is made with both funeral
and burial services present, so both services are interconnected with each other.

Funeral Service and Burial Service Differentiated

Both funeral and burial services are provided to families who are grieving for the
death of their loved ones. The difference is that, in the process, funeral service comes
first then burial service afterwards. Funeral Service is more on providing a proper wake
for the deceased, with the funeral service provider offering services that starts with
embalming the deceased, as to get the body readied for the wake. Funeral service also
includes the make-over of the body, up to the proper wake, with the casket, the funeral
location, the tables and chairs, and even the water all provided in their given plan
packages. Families would just have to pick their own package. While burial, on the other
hand, is the ending of the memorial process. With burial, it is the final moment with the
deceased, where the family and friends gather altogether for the final rites and
internments of the deceased. While the funeral service mainly offered packages for the
wake, the burial service is mainly packages that are concerning the cemetery, or where
the deceased will be placed in, also known as burial lots.

Ecological Issues of Traditional Burial and Cremation

There have been some ecological issues raised regarding traditional burial and
cremation. For traditional burial, traditional caskets are hundreds of pounds of woods,
metal, and whatever cushioning goes inside. There are also thousands of pounds of
cements used as burial vaults, which is an enclosure that separates each casket from
elements. Everybody decomposes eventually. All the casket, cement enclosure, and
formaldehyde do is slow down the process. But sooner or later, the whole body, even the
gallons of toxic embalming fluid end up in the water table or whatever place they are
buried.

According to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) of Australia, here are

some of the ecological issues when it comes to cremation:
