Kabir Bhajans
So says the voice and words of the Guru. The divine sound originates in the sky.
The soul originated from “nada bindu”. “Nada”, the sound and “Bindu”, the seed. The
“Bindu” represents the male while “Nada”, the female energy. So says the voice of the
Guru.
Your being arrived from there to an address in this world, to quench its own thirst – the
desire for God. But putting nectar aside, you drink poison again and again. Going in
reverse, you now toss and turn in your own trap.
The celestial cow of knowledge, Brahman is milked for the benefit of everyone.
Knowledgeable, wise men opt for the butter (spiritual knowledge) while the world out of
ignorance are content with the butter milk.
Instead of seeing earth, see it as merely a sphere. Seeing a lake, understand it is nothing
but water. When one starts experiencing the underlying unifying principle over apparent
diversity and duality, knowing dawns. So says the voice and words of the Guru.
When this happens, all the questions like “Who am I” and “So am I” are answered. Ida
and Pingala are pacified and Sushmna is activated, says the teacher from the sky.
Kabir says, “Listen, Oh righteous brother. Understand and experience and become one
with the non-ageing and eternal one principle who looks after this entire universe every
single moment.”

The clouds are returning from the west, rhythmic rain is falling, (west stands for death, you
are aging and death is approaching)
Get Up learned one take care of the fences and boundaries of your fields, lest the rains
overflow them ॥1॥ (it’s a wake-up call as time is running out)
Let not the weed of doubt set, sow the grain of naam (of Ram) ॥2॥ (let not maya create
attachment in you, be attached to Ram)
It is the prudent farmer who will bring his harvest home ॥3॥ (your hard-work has show
results)
Listen oh seeker says Kabir, sow the grain of naam ॥4॥ (Repeat the name of Ram)
O devotee! The ways of God’s maya are strange Its kindness can make a poor
person into a king, but it can also reduce a king to a beggar; It is strange that a clove
tree bears no fruit, and that a sandalwood does not bear any flowers; The fish
(maya) hunts in the forest (world), and the lion (soul) swings in the ocean (of
desires); The castor oil plant (devotee) can become a mountain of sandalwood
(realized soul), and spread its fragrance all around; One who is blind to desires can
see this strange sport in the three worlds, the universe and the earth; The lame
person (man) climbs the Meru and Sumeru mountains, and, achieving liberation,
moves in the three worlds; The self-realized person speaks of worldly and spiritual
knowledge, and of the divine melody of God; God’s maya can tie the firmament and
send it to hell, and place the hell-dwelling serpent, Sheshnag, to rule in heaven;
Guru Kabir says that God is the supreme ruler, and whatever he does is right.
Every one came from one place, and took the same road
Half way along, you fell into doubt, and it became twelve roads
