Raytheon Systems, Garland, Texas. Responsible for the mainframe portion of conversion from CMS to
MPM. Implemented interface from APS to MPM and from CDW to APS. Purged unneeded records from
CIS database, freeing up over 80% of space being used. Responsible for applying and coordinating
PTF testing in order to upgrade CAS. Provide programming support as needed for various mainframe
systems.
Litton Electro-Optical Systems, Garland, Texas. Sole programmer supporting CAS (Consolidated
Application Systems for A & D). Responsible for enhancements as well as production trouble
shooting. Automated weekly and monthly updating of date parms to eliminate human errors and
decrease batch cycle run time. Converted data from IDMS CAS database to downloadable files
for import into BaaN ERP system. Interacted with BaaN implementation team to define and map
required records for migration from CAS to BaaN. Provided reports and extract files for review and as
documentation for records being manually keyed into BaaN.
System Engineer
Perot Systems - Dallas, TX
March 1992 to November 1996
Responsible for making all necessary changes on the applications side of the Integrated Materiel
Management System (IMMS) for the upgrade from IDMS version 10.2 to version 12.0. This included
changing over 500 JCL jobs, compiling more than 600 COBOL programs, modifying 50 dialogs,
and coordinating changes to the security features of IMMS. Made JCL changes to minimize space
used by datasets, resulting in a $60.00 per day savings in DASD usage. Modified online dialogs so
that resources required for each user signed on to the IMMS system went down by 2300 bytes per
user. Responsible for designing and writing COBOL programs to extract weekly payroll information on
mainframe and download that data to a PC based federal tax reporting system.
