Case 1

A 40 year-old man arrived at physician office with a chief complain of epigastric pain for a week. It was non-
radiating pain which occurred daily, and increased at night and between meals. He routinely took aspirin over the
last month for relieving his knee pain.

On physical examination, there was normal bowel sound and mild abdominal tenderness. The knee was inflamed.

The doctor diagnosed NSAID-induced ulcer, then prescribed omeprazole capsule, sucralfate suspension, and
celecoxib capsule.

A 3 year-old boy (12 kg) was brought by his mother to the physician office with a chief complain of diarrhea
