ASSIGNMENT OF COMMUNICATION SKILLS 1

 ROLE OF WOMEN IN SOCIETY

There are two building blocks of every society. Every

bicycle have two wheels, if we remove one, it will not
move from its place. They are advantageous for our
society in every aspect of life. Islam has always realized
the importance of women. That`s why, Islam has given
equal rights to men and women. As a sister she is the
apple of her brother’s eyes, as a wife she is supporter of
one’s life, as a daughter she is the contentment and inertia
of father’s lap and as a mother, her position is very unique.
She brings up the children with extreme care and first
school of child is the lap of his mother. It is true that every
great man has had great mother.

If the mothers are educated, the whole society will

progress. Napoleon once said “Give me an educated mother,
I shall promise you the birth of a civilized, educated nation.” Our
society can only progress when men and women work by side by
side.

Women give better education than men because they

know what is life, how to live, how to wear, how to speak,
how to walk, how to sit, how to meet elders, older, how to
eat, how to drink etc. They are eager to earn money not
only for themselves but also for their family. They also play

a key figure in the progress of country. They have
emerged as athletics, writers, doctors, philosophers,
columnists, engineers, prime ministers, ministers, and
many more. Rural women work in the fields with male
members of their household from dawn to dusk.
On the other hand, women are not given equal values
as men. Much difference has been created between men
and women. Women are treated harshly in many societies
of the world. Such impolite attitudes toward women could
easily be seen in our own society. However, in some parts
of the world women enjoy equal status as men. Usually,
the women are deprived of their basic rights such as the
freedom of expression of thoughts and many more.
Actually, there is no apparent difference between men
and women in usual activities such as eating, drinking,
working and sleeping etc. All the humanity is equal and it’s
prime purpose is to help the needy ones and create an
ideal society where every individual, men or women, enjoy
equal rights. To form such a society as described above,
committees and meetings should be set up by
stakeholders of the society to reach a common solution to
sort out the problems which women face in our society.
So woman, a very important pillar of life, evolution
and revolution. Life is dependent on it, that’s why Allah
(SWT) created Eve with Adam. They have vital role in
every aspect of life.
