LBG’s UK Private Banking unit work with specialist advisors to identify


the investment strategy for High networth (HNW) and Ultra HNW
(UHNW) customers. Investment options include Tax efficient ISAs,
AMS/Mayfair, Open ended investment companies, bonds, and more
specialized products depending on customer priorities and risk apetite.
UKPB unit also manages Trusts & Estates of its HNW and UHNW
customers.

As part of UKPB team, we have handled multiple Business critical


small changes (BCSC) and end-to-end strategic projects like Athena
(introduction of T24 platform), FATCA (Foreign Account Tax
compliance Act), Project Verde, Panther (SWIP demerger), SQL Server
migration and Windows OS upgrade. Wipro was also handling
operational and commercial aspects of platform by having a 2 member
PMO team. The applications in UKPB area includes AMS, RMS, ISA,
Autograph, Mayfair, Athena T24 system, etc…

SBSA's Personal & Business Banking offers banking and other financial

Belgacom is the leading Telecommunication provider in Belgium


offering intuitive end-to-end solutions; combining fixed and mobile

telecom, IT and media; and empowering its customers to master and
enrich their professional and private lives.

From the technical perspective, HCL owns the migration activity and
plays the role of integrator for Belgacom’s IDMS Business continuity
project, which encompasses migrating all the batch, online and interface
related compoents from/connected to BS2000 to IBM z/OS.

As Batch Offshore/Onsite Manager, responsibility includes Proposal


handling, Bidding, Bid defense, Due Delligence, POC planning and
completion, Resource RU/RD, Project planning and tracking,
Estimation, Designing, review and delivery of Batch migration, post
delivery support. The challenges involved in this are tooling for
inventory, conversion, mass compilation, mass conversion, and the most
important is the short span of the project.

4. First Horizon National Corporation (FHN), USA

FHN operates as a Bank from the state of Tennessee and as a Financial


institution (for providing loans against mortgages) from the state of Texas.
Mortgage division of FHN is functioning from Dallas. HCL contributes as an
IT partner for various Maintenance and Enhancement projects on Banking
and Mortgage applications.

From the functional perspective, HCL team works on projects in Wire


transfer system, Letter of Credit (LOC), and Credit card pre-processing,
Customer Data Management and Delivery Management, Web
applications maintenance, Reporting systems, Imaging systems along
with DBA activities. Mortgage predominantly involved in the enterprise
Reporting and the securitization.

Responsible for the Process Compliance, Resource management and


Delivery Management for the entire FHN team maintenance requests.
The challenges involved in this engagement are different from a normal

project. It’s a Staff Augmentation project (peak team size 28) and
everyone works directly with their client team and manager. Tasks are
assigned directly to everyone and managing this is really challenging. I
take care of entire cycle of the resources from on boarding till release and
the project life cycle from gathering requirements, estimation, planning,
execution and delivery. Will have regular status updates with all client
managers (around 8 managers in Dallas and Memphis together) in
Banking and Mortgage systems. Core metrics like Productivity, DRE,
SV, EV are measured and reported to HCL / FHN management and
take care of billings, CSAT, and escalations.

5. DB BASA for Deutsche Bank, Germany

BASA (Brokerage Advisory and Sales Advisory) IT/O provides


customized, high performance, critical IT solutions for managing
Investment Processes and Portfolio management for various customers
based on the category. At a higher level the applications are classified
into Portfolio Management, Advisory Front End and ISS (Investment
Saving Schemes) suite of products. In ISS, we were involved in
enhancing existing ESOP modules (major clients- IBM, GE), enhancing
and developing product maintenance (MaxBlue, VSP Tausch, Sparplan,
etc) modules and developing the Reports and Letter Generation modules
for Opening/ Closure/ termination/ Amendment of orders placed for
Customers at front end.

6. IRI Dictionary system for IRI, Chicago - USA

IRI is in consumer packaged goods market research domain, providing


product movement data to their customers. IRI customer base include P&G,
Kraft Foods, Coke, Pepsi etc.

IRI collects consumer purchase data from stores and panelists. The
data is processed and stored in Dictionary and UPC Select Database.
Based on client requests the UPC Select data is extracted and presented to
the customers through Infoviews.

IRI Dictionary system is a huge data repository which provides a detailed


listing of all consumer packaged good UPCs found in the marketplace, and
all the attribute/details about the UPCs. There are three types of dictionaries:
Mainframe DIV (Simulated Database comprising VSAM), OMEGA Oracle
dictionary and IMPACT Oracle dictionary.

Dictionary is the only place in IRI system, where the product details are
stored, and every application refers to Dictionary for any kind of product
detail. Dictionary system is fed by Mainframe data loading for Europe (into
DIV), and Unix data loading for USA (into Oracle). Daily and weekly
concurrency jobs (Mainframe and Unix jobs) are scheduled to make all the
three in SYNC for users/delivery system to access data.

7. IRI Stub Development Projects for IRI, Chicago - USA

A Stub is a collection of UPC (Universal Product Code for a
Product) and their Descriptions, which belong to a similar product
Class. The UPCs are placed in a hierarchical format based on the
Attributes of the products.

The stub which is created in this application is one of the input for
the Report Generation which is the final product of IRI deliverable to
their clients.
