    Harry T. Moore was a prominent civil rights leader in Florida who fought for voting rights and racial equality. On Christmas night 1951, a bomb exploded under Moore's home, killing both him and his wife. The Ku Klux Klan was strongly suspected of the bombing due to Moore's activism registering black voters which threatened the political power structure in Florida. Despite an investigation, no one was ever convicted for the murders of Harry and Harriette Moore.
