REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

This request forExpressions of Interest (EOI) follows the General Procurement Notice for the Transport Sector Suppo
Project (TSSP) thatappearedin the UN Development Business online and dgMarket of 13th April 2010.
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzaniahas received a credit from the International Developmen
Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Transport Sector Support Project(TSSP) and intends to apply part o
the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the contract for Feasibility Study,Preliminar
Environmental & Social Impact Assessment, Detailed Engineering Design and Preparation of Tende
Documents forRehabilitation of Same - Himo - Marangu Road (93 Km) and Mombo # Lushoto (32 Km) road
to Bitumen Standard.
The scope of the assignment includes, but not limitedto:

Feasibility study including the preliminary design, costestimates, preliminary environmental and social
assessment as well as preliminarily Resettlement Action Plan;
Detailed engineering design, preparation of pre-qualificationand bidding documents.
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), an Agency ofthe Ministry of Infrastructure Development,
now invites eligible consultants toexpress their interest in providing theabove-mentioned services. Interested
consultants must provide information indicating their qualifications for performing theservices. Such
information may include brochures, description of assignments of similar nature in the past 10 years,
experience insimilar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff related to the assignment, etc.
For each assignment performed,the consultant shall provide the following:
The name and address of the client;
Date(s) of execution; and
Names(s) of Lead and Associate firms.
Consultants may associate with local or foreign firms to enhance their qualifications.
Short-listing and final selection of consultants will be inaccordance with the World Bank Guidelines: Selection
and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers May 2004, RevisedOctober 1, 2006.
Interested consultants may obtain further information at theaddress below during office hours from 08:000 #
16:30 hours local time, Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except PublicHolidays.
Expressions of Interest in writing must be delivered to theaddress below on or before 10:00 hours local time
