Teaching philosophy

I think that teaching career is a challenging career , it is a huge responsibility to be a teacher,

because you are teaching children that still have no much experience in the world, it is part of
your job as a teacher to prepare them for the future to help to shape their personality , everything
you say or do is important, because these children remember mostly everything, a words from
you may encourage a whole generation, so being a teacher to me is not about teaching school-
related subjects but teaching also life related lessons.

Mentees are the most important part of the educational system, you need to make sure that they
are comfortable enough in the learning environment, and they are encouraged to share their
opinions, questions with no fear or hesitation, because once you assure that, the learning process
will be effective and they will be more productive and excited to learn, motivation is a very
strong element that makes an obvious change on the student’s will to learn, giving them free
space to share their ideas and to patriciate in the classroom it what makes them feel engaged
which is the most important thing in my opinion.

As a mentor you need to make sure to include different learning styles ; styles ; visual auditory
and kinesthetic, this way you’re making sure that the lesson is suitable for all your students with
their differences, another point about differences is to be understanding and to respect the
ethnicity of the students, make sure that you can relate the mentees to your lesson and to engage
all of them.

For classroom management, you must make your classroom rules clear and easy and probably
rhymed so your students can easily remember them and apply them. use positive reinforcement,
try to avoid using punishment as much as possible, reward your students, encourage them, and
remind them that it is okay to make mistakes and to try because we are here to learn.

Before introducing a new topic to your students, asking them relatable questions to engage them,
and connecting it to the previous lesson, will make them understand why they’re studying this,
and the moment they realize that they could actually use it in real life, it will be more fun for
them to use what they’ve learned more often.

There is a lot of useful teaching methods that could be used in the classroom, but what I prefer is
using student-centered learning approach, I believe that the best way to teach your students a
concept or lesson is by letting them discover it themselves and by engaging them through the
teaching-learning process instead of giving them instructions, using all three different learning
styles ; styles ; visual auditory and kinesthetic, and by differentiating activities, and by giving
them the space to think and predict, this way what they have learned will stay longer because
they were involved in the lesson and by the guidance and support of the teacher it will make it
easier for them and more effective.
