My name is Kate Lexvold, and I will be helping Mrs. Lash as a student
teacher for the first six weeks of school. I am currently a senior at Winona State-Rochester. I will graduate in May with an Elementary Education major and will be licensed to teach K-6th grade. I am so excited to be in your child’s classroom, and I know that we are going to have an exciting start to the year. I can’t wait to get to know your student, and I look forward to learning more about teaching kindergarten. I know my time will go fast, but we will have many experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the weeks ahead. Before I get to know your child, I thought I would share a little bit about myself. I grew up on a dairy farm outside of Goodhue, MN, and I am number 7 of 8 children. I have 7 siblings: 4 brothers and 3 sisters. I love being an aunt to my 5 nephews and 5 nieces, and I stay very busy babysitting them. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, hanging out with family and friends, boating, snowboarding and skiing, working out, hiking, going for walks, and basically anything to do with the outdoors. I love trying new things and going on adventures, which is why I can’t wait to dive right in to this school year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m looking forward to an awesome start of the year in kindergartenJ
