I highly recommend Kate Lexvold as a candidate for any teaching position. I
had the great honor of working closely with Kate for 9 weeks at Washington
Elementary School in Rochester, MN. She was extremely effective in her role as a
student teacher in my kindergarten class.
Kate is the ideal combination of a deeply compassionate person and highly
skilled educator. Students flocked to Ms. Lexvold upon seeing her. She always had a
personal and individualized comment for each one. Her enthusiasm for life and
learning was contagious.
Ms. Lexvold eagerly embraced any responsibility or task presented to her.
She always went up and beyond in her work and took initiative to solve problems
and find solutions. Her lessons delivered to the class were hands-on, highly
engaging and differentiated. I completely trusted her assessment of students and
had high regard for her insights.
Mrs. Lexvold not only had great rapport with students but also with
colleagues and parents. It was commonplace for her to greet parents at the start of
the day as well as engage with them at dismissal. She could always be counted on to
help in any way possible. I always knew my students were in the best of hands.
It is without any reservation that I highly recommend Kate Lexvold for any
teaching position. She would be an amazing asset on any staff.
