Describe healthy city initiatives and how sustainable cities assit urban development

Definition of healthy city initiatives is the term used in public health which implementation
of urban design/ process to stress impact of policy on human health.
WHO stated that healthy city initiatives is a form of policy of “ continually creating and
improving those physical and social environments and expanding those community
resources which enable people to mutually support each other in performing all functions
of life in developing to their maximum potential.”
 Healthy cities initiatives included effort to reduce crime, environmental degradation,
increase recreational park , create relationship of health and community that
contributes to increase the quality of life.

Sustainable cities assist urban development as it has achieved highly conservation and
minimisation of the depletion of non-renewable resources and strong consideration with those
on the environment .
