Management Technology.
Ready to spring into action
when you need it most.
In the event of a fall, the RoofSafe™ Anchor breaks
open, deploying the unique and patented SpiraTech™
Force Management Technology absorbing system
which reduces the forces generated on the roof
structure to less than 610 kg. (6kN), the lowest
of any of its kind on the market.

This enables the anchor to be installed on a wide

variety of old and new roof types without risk to
structural integrity.

In the unlikely event that the anchor is deployed,

it is possible to remove the SpiraTech™ module and
replace it with a new one. This is also an advantage
with the ever changing building regulations, with the
need for increased depth of roof insulation.

FORCES ON TIP OVER ANCHOR

The design of the RoofSafe™ Anchor reduces thermal

bridging when used in flat roof applications, reducing
heat loss from a building and also keeping interiors
cool in hot weather, helping compliance with building
regulations and saving money.
FORCES ON SPIRATECH™ ANCHOR
The RoofSafe™ Anchor can be used to facilitate the
installation of a horizontal lifeline system in warm
roof buildings that allows continuous uninterrupted
access to all areas of a roof or alternatively can be
used as a single anchor point for maintenance tasks

is above the users’ head.
The Uni 8™ evolution™ Overhead System comprises of
an 8mm stainless steel cable permanently installed
horizontal lifeline. It is suitable for any application
where a user needs to move in a continuous line
(straight and around corners) and suitable anchorage
points are available overhead to connect to either
ends of the line.

In 2011 Capital Safety acquired Uniline™ Safety

Systems and the 0 8™ Overhead horizontal lifeline
was added to its range. This system has now been
combined with the DBI-SALA® evolution™ System
to bring together two established and well
respected horizontal lifelines while maintaining
all the features and benefit of both systems.

Applications Overview
The Uni 8™ Overhead fall protection system was
primarily developed to meet the needs of transport
and industrial customers including trucks, trains and
aircraft, crane walkways and loading bays.

The system has also solved access and safety

problems in the entertainment and arena industry.
This quality safety solution can support heavy fall
arrest and controlled rate descent devices, and
ensures free and unhindered movement for the
worker when carrying out work at height.

Uni 8™ Overhead resolves functionality issues

experienced by using a standard horizontal lifeline
for such applications, and mitigates the difficulties
associated with solving fall protection problems in
conditions that can often be challenging.
