A cool new lock system for RV’s is more than just a luxury feature

My wife came home a few weeks before my family set off on our RV journey through the

majority of the United States. A summer trip that had been planned to perfection for a year now,

was missing the most vital thing we needed on the trip, the CampSafe technology. CampSafe is a

lock system for your RV that enables you to unlock it with the click of a button. The original

thing that appealed to me was the feature to share the ability to lock and unlock the RV with

someone else.

How CampSafe saved my son’s life

It was our 30th day on the road, my wife and I met a nice family who also had two sons similar

ages as our sons so we clicked instantly. They also had an older daughter with them who offered

to watch all four of the boys so we can relax and spend a day by the pool. My son Mark, who is

very allergic to peanuts, ate a cookie that he did not know he could not have. Immediately he

showed signs of a break out and Ashley, the girl watching him, contacted her parents to inform

them something was not right. Being 15 minutes away from them, there was no way we could

get there fast enough to stick him with his Epinephrine autoinjector, or EpiPen. In a panic, trying

to find a solution, I remember the great feature of sharing the ability to lock and unlock the RV. I

had Ashley download the app and shared the access and she was able to get the EpiPen in a few

short minutes. The time made up with the CampSafe app proved vital to my son’s life and I

would never hit the road again without it.

The CampSafe app is available for Android and IOS for free and compatible with many different

products. The app comes with a fingerprint recognition system as well as a personalized

password. This means if you lose your phone, your RV is still safely protected. The app is
compatible with the Apple Watch, Samsung Gear, Fitbit, and Garmin devices. This allows you to

open your RV without your phone, but also doesn’t constrict you to limited models.

What it is made of

The CampSafe is an electronic lock made of heavy-duty tempered steel powered by the RV

battery. It is a deadbolt style lock that everyone has trusted for years now. The strong tempered

steel is built to last so you will get your money’s worth out of the product. Upgrades are

available where a small solar back is mounted to the RV’s roof in case of emergency.
