Helping Houston
Stockbridge High School, Stockbridge, Ga

My school, Stockbridge High School, is going to Houston, Texas
in January of 2018 for 5 days to help the residents get their
legal documents that they lost in Hurricane Harvey back. We
are helping district 5 specifically in conjunction with the mayor
pro tem Jerry Davis. We will be at different community centers
each day from 9 am to 4 pm.
Calvary Refuge Center

Since June of 2013, I have gone to Calvary Refuge Center
once a month with my church youth group to serve the
homeless there. I usually help prepare the food, serve it, and
then help clean it up.

I was trained in the kitchen to make hot dogs, chili, and slaw. I
was also trained to clean the kitchen and the dining room. I
did the dishes and did the closing.
