App/Game Review

App: Color by Number #1

“Color by Number #1” is a simplistic app that lets you color drawings digitally. The app
involves minimal designed buttons making it possible for anyone to use. As it follows the
concept of “colorfy” the app has a variety of pictures ranging from design that kids can
color, in too difficult detailed designs for adults.

The app is a great way for students to relax and refresh their brains before a big test, or
kill time on the way to school. Like most coloring apps once you are done with coloring
the image, you have a choice of saving it to a gallery, or you own photos to keep in your
phone. In addition to being able to save the picture after working on it for a long time,
the app allows you to share it with the public whether it would to be on a social media
platform or you just want to send it over text message to one specific person.

The settings give you the choice of removing ads and contacting the creator if you run
into any problems while on the app. When you enter a drawing, specific color pallets are
selected for that image with numbers assigned to each color. Selecting a color will then
allow numbers to appear on the image so you know where exactly were each color is
placed in the drawing. Instead of being pixelated like most coloring apps this one makes
it a lot easier by just sectioning of big chuck of the image and letting you color the
selected area with a click of a button.

The one thing that really stand out about the app is when you can't seem to finish the
drawing because one of the small coloring areas are hidden and you can't seem to be
able to find where the last space is. The app has a light bulb in the top right hand corner
of drawing to give you hints on the image. The more details the drawing the more
difficult it seems to be challenging your brain to the next level.
