Feel free to say hello, give feedback, ask questions, add more, go execute them, be inspired or make tons

of money. :)
Execution is the name of the game, happy to help and connect. - https://twitter.com/VladMkrtumyan email: vlad@skyrealre.com
- Hayk, you can also call me the executioner (i write code) http://twitter.com/hayksaakian email: hayk@skyrealre.com
Anybody who wants to start and get involved can contact us via twitter or email, as per above

Feel free and reach out we’ll give you more details on any ideas if interested, we’re happy with people making money off of our ideas
we have too many!

(open to comments. let us know if you’d like direct editing privileges. (comments button is in the upper right)

*note the numbers correspond with the ideas drive file that has over 100 ideas on it, contact us if you want to read it.

90) Blogdia (This one is kind of being tested right now by making the doc public, we had a high of 48 viewers
today from 15 minutes of tweets and sharing)
Business idea app, it generates business ideas for you by reporting complaints on twitter, craigslist etc and aggregating that
information.

Problem: Entrepreneurs complain they don’t know what “idea” to work on.
Solution: We have a huge list of ideas. You can find one you like, combine them together or perhaps be inspired to create your own
but the bottom line is we give ideas to you so you can start. Also have people vote on ideas, make it a social plataform where
everyone can choose what they like.

Hayk: prototyping this with http://idealist.tips

29) NonProfitHub (people can find ways around donating through this service...plus we have to set up a page for donations
payments system to gain our first income, unless we do it the noah kagen way by finding an entrepreneur who wants to donate, do
research for him online and charge him money.)

Problem: People want to figure out which non-profit to donate money to.
Solution: A crunchbase for non-profits

38) Facial Recognition as passwords FOR LAPTOPS AND TABLETS, they already have it for cellphones. damnit just googled the
idea and I’m late someones doing it already...might as well have wrote down facebook as an idea...maybe make a facial recognition
as a login facebook app? more research there. (seems a bit too complicated to start out on....not a very original svp) Lenovo has this
feature (called Veriface) but it has not garnered much attention or many fans.

Problem: passwords are too complicated

Solution: Your face is unique enough to serve as a password or part of a multi-factor auth system

→ Facial recognition metrics are a bit buggy right now.

71) Mobile Speed Measure: Two cellphones that measure your speed. Basically take two cellphones any distance and they
measure how fast you ran from point a to point b with the camera (you don’t hold the phone, perhaps you can) if we can build that
technology then perhaps later we can look into perhaps doing motionloft for cellphones: (b2b test is to cold call and sell motionloft)
(elaborate to execute)

Problem: you need special hardware to measure foot traffic

Solution: plant a commodity router that measures unique wifi connections*

*(many phones actively connect to open wifi routers. Any other phone actively broadcasts the SSIDs it seeks, which can then be
spoofed.)

http://www.motionloft.com/
http://vimeo.com/36264695

unique value proposition: Not a lot of people are doing it.

sustainable value proposition: generic answers....since we started earlier we will have more data.
monetization: http://www.motionloft.com/pricing.html
market size: 1 billion dollar market
You could use their service to start an ad company that does physical advertising with real analytics motionloft.com

vlad/hayk: you could replicate their hardware with some software hacks:
to do it with software:
you need a wifi access point
since cell phones are constantly looking for wifi signals automatically, you track what phones are trying to access your wifi (it’s
a proportional number to the total traffic there)

vlad: waze? has a bunch of people using their traffic app?

78) An app that lets you know which emergency room has less lines.

Hayk: solves a problem everybody has and could make real $$ because of a true pain point.

Problem: When you’re in an emergency, you can’t afford to wait at the ER

Solution: This app shows you the fastest ER (wait time + drive time)
Concern: The choice of which ER is best should really be made by medical staff, once you arrive they triage and treat as appropriate

83) Dating Site: a dating site where only girls can talk to guys. Thought process behind this is if we capture the female market, then
males will naturally be there. (long to execute)
8:03

Hayk
sounds like it could make serious money, but I don't know enough about the industry

Problem: There’s too many males on dating sites which make it very uncomfortable for females
Solution: Make a site where only females talk to males so they will be more inclined to use online dating.

97) Commission Junction for cold callers. (fast to execute)

Problem: cold callers use traditional means of acquiring contracts (slow)

advertisers have high $ amount products/services they want to sell

Solution: cold callers can sell offers they find on our site

110) priceline for amazon/e-commerce ( a little too elaborate to execute)

- customer names a price for something they want to buy and drops down the money, and says how soon they want it (ex:
next 6 months)
- we hold onto their cash, and deliver it to them at the lowest price during that time, and -

Problem: people want to feel like they got a deal on something they want without looking for it. for non-urgent purchases
Solution: they pay us whatever price they want, and whenever the product drops below, we buy and ship it to them

128) pay per lead recruiting business

We make it free to contact that person, but $30 to get them off so they don’t get poached. benefits are applicants get contacted fast
and are in more demand, then we can actually create our own website from this model and not rely on craigslist.

Problem: Real Estate recruiting companies limit how much results they get by working with one company in a region exclusively
Solution: Work all brokerages in every location and have them compete for our leads by making them public.

132) App competitor online (landing page test)

extracts 2-4 star ratings into analytics you can use to evaluate app ideas on the market.

Problem: it’s hard to find opportunities in the modern app markets. 1 and 5 star reviews are unhelpful
Solution: Aggregate 2-4 star ratings for every app category to see what developers can improve on or create.

133) Video Only Job Board

Problem: for Many Jobs like sales, the interview matters more than the resume
Solution: use video recordings as job applications
131) Live Streamed Hotseat Q/A sessions only
this would be awesome for anyone even moderately famous.
we would take a cut of the monetization they do of their audience.
(they could allow people to join the video conversation)

Problem: It’s hard to answer questions from fans in an organized manner.

Solution: A website where fans can upvote questions they want celebrities or anyone to answer
we could use an existing stream platform with our own chat system (the chat system is the main problem with current platforms)

127 machine learning auto dialer

easily valuable but expensive to code
market size and monetization may be too obvious. check to make sure its not tiny.

Problem: robocalls sound robotic and un-natural

Solution: use machine learning to iterate on a ‘roboscript’
(insert natural pauses, adjust tone, etc.)

118 An Amazon Mechanical Turk clone that pays in crypto-currency

the need is simply unmet. I see huge growth here if were first to market.

Problem: some jobs are too small for 1 penny. needing a CC discourages people from entering the online workforce
Solution: cryptocoin transactions don’t have those limitations

49 App for yard cleaning like exec.

the problem this solves really needs a simple solution. see if it exists

Problem: yard cleaning is too damn complicated and annoying

Solution: We make yard cleaning easy to accomplish just use our app

44 Trademark exchange
I like that we build lots of IP
Problem: people think ideas are really valuable.
Solution: a marketplace to sell IP

37 Mobile App builder for specific classes of small businesses

still has potential, conduit really only solves for marketing sites or simple ideas.

Problem: Many categories of small businesses don’t have cheap/easy ways to get apps
Solution: Build an app builder for underserved industries
examples: limo business, barber shops, maid companies, chiropractors

22 Jokester
Irrationally like this idea

Problem: Since humor is subjective, you need many opinions to know if something is funny
Solution: hn/reddit for jokes. (includes textual one liners, stand up shots, or even voice recordings) make it an app to use on the go?

maybe test using reddit ads. ~50,000 subscribers and 150 online -> ~50 average viewers

13) ‘how to be a software contractor’ video series

Problem: There are tons of contracting jobs that are easy to do, but people think only ‘real programmers’ can solve valuable
problems.
Solution: teach people how to do common programing jobs and make money doing it

18) Idea Validator: we help startups (or anyone really) validate their business idea and then suggest the next steps to
success)
9:44

● PROBLEM: It’s a hard to validate a business idea fast and well, a lot of people get emotional over their ideas and this causes
them to overlook the flaws.
This idea depends on the notion that most entrepreneurs don’t have the skills to quickly and intuitively validate ideas
● SOLUTION: We test your startup idea for you quickly and efficiently (at least compared to you) then lastly we suggest what you
need to do next. (For SVP perhaps eventually we become the SEOMOZ of startup validation).
(add specifics that we described under ideas)
● IS IT UNIQUE VS. IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE OUT THERE
Accelerators use they machine gun? strategy -- dump money on many different startup teams
Hackathons / Startup events give you a small sample
Doing the validation yourself
Barrier to entry is so low now, so there are many new entrepreneurs -- skewing the %’s towards people who don’t know how to
validate (well)
There are 10X more people online today vs during .com boom (2.5 billion vs ~ 350 million)
Since there’s more people online using internet products and technology, it drives the cost down since the demand is increasing so
naturally a huge market that you can test these ideas on is more and more readily available.
● HOW FAST CAN YOU TEST THIS IDEA AND SCALE (Be time specific)

● WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR EDGE IS, IN THE BEGINNING

First to market this service.
“””Patented business methods?”””
● MORE IMPORTANTLY WHAT’S YOUR SUSTAINABLE VALUE PROPOSITION IN THE LONG RUN, HOW DOES THIS LAST?
Credibility is very important to this kind of business, so a clone coming out 2 years later has much worse odds of success. (as
opposed to most e-commerce businesses where price is king)

(Patents Last 20 Years)

● HOW DO YOU GO FROM NOTHING TO MEDIUM SIZE SO THAT OTHERS WOULD WANT TO BUY IT OUT OR USE YOUR
SERVICE INSTEAD OF CRUSH YOU

75 clients / 5.5 weeks

● WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE MARKET?

100,000 is the market cap at cap our business if we own 100% of the market is a 100 million dollar business.

● WHAT IS THE MARKET TREND? (there’s no market trend going with it)
Population is increasing and more and more people are using the internet. Since more people are using the internet there’s a bigger
market there, technology gets cheaper to make and use thus more startups appear to get that product. The more startups that
appear the more money we can make. The technology sector is our trend.

● DO YOU NEED A LOT OF MONEY TO GET IT GOING VS. NOT REALLY

just enough to cover ads for client #1
● CAN YOU PATENT IT? (Can you reproduce the IP?)
the business method may be patentable, beyond that no real IP (maybe the tools the team uses to work more efficiently?)
● HOW EASY IS IT TO DUPLICATE WHAT YOU DO
DOES IT COST LESS THAN 200,000 DOLLARS TO DUPLICATE FOR COMPETITORS, How long before it gets there?

● Can you microtest it in one day? HOW HARD IS IT TO TEST?

Takes about a week to fully test.
1 day to prepare
1 day to implement - landing page w/ PPC (adwords, Show HN, /r/startups, twitter ads), and cold calls
2-3 days of data

● HOW DO YOU KNOW IF IT FAILED AND WHEN?

If we can’t get the first user after the first week we failed. When we’re off of our time table we failed.
