Caledon in Bloom Coffee Morning


Sat 11th May 2019
at BACK OF BEYOND @ Café Rose
This is the first FUND RAISING event for Caledon In Bloom and we want to make it a great success.
There will be delicious home bakes, scones, cakes, apple pies, etc. and all the tea and coffee you
want, plus a raffle with some great prizes.
This is also a big opportunity to come together socially and meet neighbours, friends and ac-
quaintances, plus get to know our hard working committee who are driving ‘Caledon In Bloom’.
Check out our Facebook page - Caledon In Bloom for photos & stuff, better still become part of
our working committee - new recruits most welcome.
'Blooming Caledon' will be in flying colours very shortly and will be well placed to get an award in
the ‘Ulster In Bloom’ competition.

Always Farm SAFE!


ENGAGING RURAL COMMUNITIES
(ERC) PROGRAMME
This is a new and exciting project being delivered by local
Rural Support Networks CWSAN & COSTA. This project
is supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV
Programme and is managed by the Special EU
programmes Body (SEUPB) in partnership with Mid
Ulster District Council.

CoH-Sync Project Overview


Connected Health is delighted to be working with the Southern Health and Social Care
Trust to deliver this project.

CoH-Sync is short for Community Health Synchronisation, this project aims to have a
positive impact on the Health and well-being of individuals and communities, by
empowering them to take responsibility and control of their own health and well-being.

CoH Sync is a cross border health project that focus on; Physical Activity, Smoking,
Alcohol, Nutrition and Mental Health.

What We Do
Help you live a healthier lifestyle by providing you with:

 A free, confidential and personal health & well-being plan.


 One-to-one support from a Community Health Facilitator/Trainer.
 Connect you to your local community.
 Provide you with encouragement and support to keep you on track with
your health goals.

£840,000 Comic Relief Investment to be


available in Northern Ireland
The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland is delighted to have been appointed
as an Intermediary Grant Maker on behalf of Comic Relief.
The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and Comic Relief both believe in the
importance of
 Directly investing in communities
 Lived Experiences of people in shaping and improving lives is key in shifting the
power.
 Partnering with others who have greater experience, knowledge and connections
 Adapting to change learning from lived experiences;
 Influencing future policy and programmes from a lived experience perspective.

From these shared perspectives the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland will
over the next two years invest £840,000 of support from Comic Relief across four
strategic development areas as follows:
 Children Surviving and Thriving:
 Global Health Matters:
 Fighting for Gender Justice:
 A Safe Space To Be:

Year one applications will open 11.00am Monday 3rd June 2019 closing 5.00pm
Wednesday 10th July 2019. Applications can only be made via the Community
Foundation for Northern Ireland website: www.communityfoundationni.org.

To support community and voluntary sector groups with a potential application, a series
of information sessions will be held across Northern Ireland during the month of May
commencing with the following:
