Writing a Review

The school organised a meeting with a storyteller, called Fabiana. It was held in the
conference room where students carefully. Thanks to her excellent narrating and acting
skills, we could all get a picture of what was happening in her favourite stories, which were
chosen by us and were kept in small boxes where we should put our imagination in.

Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl, tells the story of Mary Maloney, who is
pregnant, is waiting for her husband to return home. It is Thursday night and Mary is hoping
to go out with her dearest. When Patrick Maloney comes home strangely moody, the
silence rules. Surprisingly, Patrick asks for a stronger drink than usual and demand Mary to
take a sit. He has something important to say. Patrick is cheating on Mary! She acts like
she doesn’t understand. The silence rules again. Suddenly, the housewife gives a dreadful
blow to his ex-husband. Will Mary Maloney be caught red handed? Or will she live happily
with her baby?

Marriage to a Boa Constrictor is an African folktale about the most gorgeous girl is
her tribe. Nynga is always bragging her prettiness and has a long list of suitors. Every time
they propose her, she denies as no one can be compared to her beauty. Her father gets
sick of her big head and forces her to find someone to marry before Saturday night. This
tale points out the idea that no one is flawless; this moral is a perfect lesson for teenagers
who are extremely vain like Nynga.

The Monkey’s Paw by W. W. Jacobs, the Whites, while playing cards, they find a
monkey’s paw that grants three wishes but with an enormous price, death. Mrs White asks
her son to wish for £200 so they can paint their kitchen. Next day, director of the factory,
where Herbert White dies, offer the family the amount of money they have wished.
Devastated, Mrs White demands her husband to come to life their son. Will Mr White
accept his near death by reviving Herbert just for the happiness of his wife?

I highly recommend you to call Fabiana as she has created mysterious, terrifying and
goofy atmospheres. With games between each tale, she has been able to do the activity far
more dynamic as I had thought.
