Activities we did this week:

This week it was my first full week back at college. I began my week by
progressing with more on my coursework. I managed to complete my Location
recce’s however I was unable to publish them for some reason and I was also
unable to upload any pictures either so I will publish them later. I also created a
Foley list, and actually began to create all the essential noises for my production. I
created a little sound booth in my room to record all of my sound in. I sound scaped
the long shot at the beginning of the infra red scene. I layered a mixture of sounds,
including several punching sound, using a wide variety of materials. I created punch
sounds, thuds, footsteps, throat slashes and blood as well. I sent as much of this as I
could to Jordan so he could put this into the finished edit of the film. With this I also
got my actor Samantha to do some voice over which I then edited on Adobe
Audition to sound like she was speaking over a radio communications device. I also
managed to get all the screenshots together for all the confirmations from actors
and also for location confirmations as well and put some of those on my problem
solving page as well due to the efforts that I had gone to try and confirm the
location.

Problems I had to deal with:

There’s was a few things that went wrong this week, nothing to major,
but they were minor setbacks. The main one being Foley sound. For some reason,
Hard drive had broke and also my SD card reader had completely broke. This meant
trying to transfer files was very difficult. I had to copy over files direct from my
camera onto the desktop. The problem was that ,many of the files would not load
properly and the space on my desktop would run out very quickly, so I had to copy
and paste a couple of files, bit by bit, and publish them on YouTube before sending
the links for Jordan to use and download to put into the production. This was a long
and tedious process and meant that it tool very long for me to get finished Foley
sounds to him. All in all we still managed to get the Foley into the film, however not
all the Foley got to be used due to time and quality.

Next Week

Next week is the LAST WEEK. I am going to begin and finish my

evaluation. I am also going to finish all the feedback that I have been given and
make sure that it is to a Distinction standard. Work such as Bibliography and the
completion of the problem solving document that I began at the start of the unit.
