Note:
We must change some adjective ending with “y” to “i” before
adding “er” or “est”
- Ex: happy – happier – happiest
If the adjective has a consonant + single vowel + consonant
spelling, the final consonant must be doubled before adding the
ending.
- Ex: sad – sadder – saddest
