smartphones has support for multi-touch. Users can manage emails, contacts, calendars
and hold virtual meetings through a built-in webcam and microphone.

How useful is it? Explain

Advantages:
 Extremely good for object manipulations.
 More versatile than single-touch interfaces.
 Multi touch gestures are easier to remember than commands.
 Collaborative use.

Disadvantages:
 Size of finger complicated the occlusion problem, as several fingers, hand or devices are
clouding even more parts of the touch screen than one single-touch device.
 Limitation to the handicapped.
 Risk, the multiple device mostly rely on touch screen rather than touch tablet without
display, you always need to be able to look at the surface and get discern able display
information.
 Expensive.

There are three business application that would benefit from a multitouch interface are :

 The medical community:

patients communicate. This technology allows a medical professional the ability to
convert X-rays, MRIs, CT Scans and more into a digital image that can then be used in a
graphical interface to better visualize and discuss diagnoses.

 Sports:
Those in the professional sporting industry know the value of strategy better than anyone,
and there are few better tools for developing winning strategies than with multi- touch
technology. Touch screen displays can be used for game preparation, opponent scouting,
play development and team management.

 Electronic purchasing:
Allowed people to purchased tickets for buses and movies easily and quickly without
need to queue and waiting in a line.
