Good morning completers, parents, teachers, and guests.

I am honored to speak in front of

these young aspirants with promising futures as today marks another memorable day for all of you. At
last, after 4 crucial and painstakingly long years, you have finally completed your Junior High School. All
your tears, sleepless nights, quarrels, and efforts--- today, it will finally pay off. Along the way, you have
your parents, your teachers, and your peers who were there to help and guide you. In this ceremony, let
us also acknowledge their parts in achieving today.

To be honest, I am quite baffled and hesitant when I was offered to speak. What have I done in
my life that will be relevant and useful to your generation? Have I already made a difference in this
world? I am simply a humble teacher, one like the teachers you meet every day. But now as I look back
on my life, I realized a few reminders that I wish I had known when I was younger. And I would like to
share these with you in hopes that one day, you will make better decisions and be better individuals. At
this point in time, you may feel as though you are equipped for tomorrow, but no. No one is really ready
for what tomorrow may bring. However, you can be guided.

Ok so lets make a fukking outline because I don’t know what 2 right

So uhm

1st paragraph

 Good morning world

 Failure. Isa sa pinakainiiwasan at kinatatakutan ng lahat. “To fail” is almost synonymous to “To
end”. Pag nagfail, dead end na. You have no more way to go but to start at the beginning. But as
what Colin R. Davis wrote in his book, “The road to success and the road to failure are almost
exactly the same.” But what does this exactly mean? It only means that failure is a part of
success. Many have said this, but not all realize its true meaning. Minsan pag puro failure ang
nararanasan natin, our next step is to give up. “Ang malas ko naman!” But what we don’t realize
is that we are en route to success if we keep using these failures as stepping stones. Pag nadapa
ka, huminto. Magpagpag saglit at saka tumayo. Baka kaya ka nadapa ay dahil sa susunod na may
malaking uka sa daan, handa ka na para tumalon at iwasan ito. So the next time you fail, it’s
okay to cry but do not ever stop.
 "All progress takes place outside the comfort zone." -- Michael John Bobak
 Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning. -- Robert Kiyosaki
 Time. Maraming tao ang magsasabi sa inyo to manage your time well, and that everything
revolves around effectively allocating your time. And it’s true. I remember the Chinese proverb
which says that “The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now."
Do not take this literally though. Twenty years ago, wala pa kayo sa mundo. But this tells us that
we should not wait for tomorrow to come. Do what you can do now. Tama na yung “wait lang,
saglit lang”. Being “Tamad” will never land you in success, it will only leave you hanging. For 33
years, nagturo ako sa high school. Maraming deadlines, forms, grades na kailangang i-meet at i-
submit. Once you slack off, magpapatong patong ang lahat hanggang sa mapapaisip ka na lang,
“Sana pala ginawa ko na to noon.” Regret is really always at the end.
 Success is not all about having fame and money---- a big house, with a car, and a gold tooth. For
me, it’s about finding your true purpose. And that’s what I want each and every single one of
you to realize. Do not aim to be great, aim to make a difference. I started off as a teacher, hindi
man malaki ang sweldo pero when I see my students come back 6 or 7 years later and they
acknowledge me in their achievements, I couldn’t help but be proud. There is a sense of
fulfillment in seeing your students grow after planting seeds in their mind. You feel as though
you’ve achieved something big like winning a lotto. It’s a feeling that you will carry for the rest
of your life. Now it is your duty to find what fulfills your soul, to use your time in a meaningful
journey, and to find what success really is for you.
 Even if the storm is strong, keep walking. Do your own business until you reach your goal. Ako,
personally, I never aimed to be in a managerial position. Naging teacher ako para magturo sa
mga studyante. Pero if it’s really the will of the Lord for you, it will be for you. Basta if you keep
doing what is right and just, and you are doing it with all your best, it will radiate and people will
see the person how deserving you are.
