ARMY RECRUITMENT RALLY WILL BE CONDUCTED AT GSSS,
JUNGA, SHIMLA (HP) FROM 03 JUNE 2019 TO 15 JUNE 2019 FOR
1. Recruitment Rally Schedule. Army Recruiting Office, Shimla (HP) will conduct a Recruitment Rally at Junga, Shimla (HP)
ONLINE REGISTERED CANDIDATES
from 03 June 2019 to 15 June 2019 for the category of Soldier General Duty (Sol GD) and Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical
(Sol Clk/SKT) candidates of Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Kinnaur Districts of Himachal Pradesh.

2. Online Registration. Qualified candidates can registered and apply online from 04 April to 18 May 2019 at Indian Army
website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and download their admit cards from 18 May 2019. Candidates are advised to fill all details
correctly including address and Aadhar card number.

3. Correction of Wrong Entry Data in Join Indian Army Site. If any candidate requires correcting incorrectly entered data in
the web site, he is required to report to Army Recruiting Office, Shimla (HP) near Tara Hall on any working day between 0900hrs
to 1300hrs alongwith all original documents.

4. Education Qualification, Age & Physical Standards are Given Below :-

Note : (i) Only one relaxation can be availed. (ii) Bonus marks will be accorded on qualifying in the written examination.
(iii) Only one ward of SOS/SOEX/SOW/SOWW can avail bonus marks in written examination. (iv) Validity period of Sports
Cert will be two years on the date of screening.
7. Medical Examination. Medical examination will be conducted for all successful candidates in Physical Fitness Test, Physical
Measurement Test and Document check:-

(a) Preparation. To avoid difficulty during medical examination, candidates are requested to get treated themselves prior to the rally for
common ailments like Skin diseases (eg Pityriasis Versicolour, Tinea Cruris, Ring Worm) Varicose vein, Gross DNS, eye diseases (e.g
Pterygium, Stye) Tonsillitis, Dental Caries, Hernia, Hydrocele, Varicocele, Phimosis, Piles, eg Skin diseases & Fissure. Candidates are
advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and have proper haircut, bathing before coming for recruitment.

(b) Medical Fit Candidates. Medically fit candidates will be issued Admit Card for Common Entrance Examination.

(c) Medical Unfit Candidates:-

(i) He is advised to report to (Designated Military Hospital) for review medical on 05 th day from date of initial medical.

(ii) All candidates found medically fit after review will be issued Admit Card for Common Entrance Examination (CEE) at Army
Recruiting Office (ARO), Shimla.

8. Tattoo Candidates having permanent body tattoos on any part of the body will be debarred for recruitment in the army, less a small
engraving/tattoo of name or religious symbol on the inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm /
back (dorsal) side of hand. If any candidates have permissible tattoos, he must bring three photos showing the tattoos and face of the
candidates.

9. Common Entrance Examination (CEE). CEE will be conducted at Govt Girls Sr Secondary School, Portmore, Shimla (HP) on 28 July
2019 at 0500 AM for Soldier General Duty and Soldier Clerk/SKT category for all Medical Examination FIT candidates.

10. Marking in Written Examination (CEE). Marking system would be followed as under : -

(a) Soldier General Duty & Soldier Tradesmen.

(i) 2 marks for every right answer.


(ii) -0.5 negative marks for every wrong answer.
(iii) 0 marks for answer left blank.

(b) Sol Clerk & Soldier Technical.

(i) 4 marks for every right answer.


(ii) -1.0 negative marks for every wrong answer.
(iii) 0 marks for answer left blank.

11. Candidates should bring the following documents while coming for recruitment rally:- (Note :- All Original document with 2
photocopies duly attested only will be accepted). Candidates not in possession of requisite certificates are liable for rejection.

(a) Original Mark sheet of Matric and 10+2 (If applicable) or higher education.
(b) Candidates studied from NIOS, required to produce transfer cert (TC) of class 8 th/9th duly countersigned by the respective
District Education Officer to authenticate its correctness.
(c) Bonafide Himachali Domicile Certificate and Class (Dogra/Sikh/Gorkha/Muslim) Certificate duly signed and issued by Tehsildar/
Naib Tehsildar /SDM.
(d) Caste Certificate duly signed by Tehsildar / Naib Tehsildar /SDM.
(e) Sikh & Gorkha candidates will produce Caste cert (ie SIKH/Gorkha) duly signed by respective Association in addition to class
certificate.
(f) Character Certificate duly signed by the Tehsildar / Naib Tehsildar /SDM & should be within 6 months from date of rally.
(g) Unmarried / Married Certificate duly signed by self, parents/guardian & countersigned by village Sarpanch/Pradhan.
(h) NCC/Sports certificate holders should produce original certificate. If provisional NCC cert being produced, same should be
done before a week prior to conduct of CEE.
(j) Sports certificates issued by a recognized sports body clearly mentioning Name / ID of issuing officer alongwith Gradation
Certificate. Sports Certificate should not be more than two years old from the date of rally.
(k) O+ level computer certificate issued by the DOEACC for Sol CLK/SKT, if any.
(l) Son of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen/Widows/War Widows has to produce Discharge Book and Original Relationship Certificate,
issued by Chief Record Officer/Senior Records Officer.
(m) On line application and ADMIT CARD (On line Registration).
(n) Latest Affidavit duly signed by the candidate on the Non Judicial Stamp Paper duly attested by Notary.
(o) 20 recent coloured passport size photographs showing both the ears of the candidate. Different size of photographs/Scanned
photographs will not be accepted. Photographs should not be more than one month old. Photos attested on front will not be
accepted. Sikh & Sikh (M&R) candidate photographs should be with turban/Patka.
(p) Candidate below the age of 18 years should bring the certificate duly signed by the parents/guardians and attested by village
sarpanch, stating that the “I am sending my son Name______________ Date of birth _________ for recruitment in Army on my own
interest and there is no objection on him joining the Army. I shall not ask for any compensation due to any injury / illness
sustained by my son during screening”.
(q) Certificate with overwriting or tampering of seals or erasing any documents will not be accepted.
(r) Original and two photocopies of AADHAAR CARD & PAN CARD.
12. Instruction :-

(a) Producing of fake certificate will be dealt severely.


(b) Candidates are allowed to take part in one category only during recruitment rally.
(c) Recruitment is purely based on merit list depending on available vacancies. Candidates do not have any right to claim on
recruitment in Army just for passing in recruitment process.
(d) Suggestion and complaint on recruitment can be submitted in writing by candidate through suggestion box held with Grievance
Cell/ Army Recruiting Office, Shimla.
(e) Candidate will report at 1.00 A.M at entry gate of rally ground. GATE WOULD CLOSE AT 5 A.M EVERYDAY.
(f) Use of Mobile phone is NOT allowed inside the Rally site & Written Exam premises.
(g) Candidates/Father/Mother/relative of candidate will not have any rights for claiming compensation or to hold Indian Govt/Indian
Army responsible for any injury, death, disease or disability suffered during the various physical tests undergone by the candidate at the
time of recruitment. All candidates will be appearing for various tests in their own interests and risk.
(h) Candidates using unfair means will be disqualified and punitive action will be taken against them.
(j) Married candidates below 21 Yrs of age are not eligible for enrolment into the Army.
(k) Candidates not in possession of requisite certificates are liable for rejection.
(l) ‘In case of any clarification at rally site, approach Grievance Cell’.
Candidate will not get entry without documents

of pre height checking itself.
