Major Project
 Thrust Vector Hovercraft (May’14-Jun’14)
Summer Project in alliance with Aeromodelling Club, IIT Kanpur
o Designed and fabricated a hovercraft which can move in all directions in a horizontal plane
o The hover can be reversed without changing the direction of rotation of the propellers
o Thrust – Vectoring done in high speed jets was implemented to direct the wind flow in a desired way
o Worked in a team of 3 members and used Inventor, AutoCAD for designing Hovercraft’s model
Academic Project
 Automated lifting system using CAM mechanism (under the course TA201A)
Mentor: Dr. Shashank Shekhar (Aug’14 – Nov’14)
o Designed and fabricated a simple machine (Opening and Closing Lotus) for lifting loads in a continuous
fashion
o Used continuous rotation of a shaft to drive a cam mechanism which in turn lifted series of loads
continuously
o The petals of the Lotus could be opened and closed with a single pedal by using of Rack & Pinion
 TT Ball Launcher and Server (under course TA202A)
Mentor: Dr. V. K. Jain (Jan’15 - Apr’15)
o Designed and fabricated a simple machine to mimic the act of serving in table tennis
o Used Bevel gear and spring to transfer Horizontal motion to Vertical and launch the balls
o Successfully synchronized the systems for ‘ball launching’ and ‘hitting’ though the use of a clever
arrangement of shaft and gears
 Denoising of an Image Using Non Local Mean Filter(under course EE604A)
Mentor: Dr. Tanya Guha (Aug’16 -Nov’16)
o Used Gaussian noise of different value of Sigma to add in an image
o Successfully Denoised Image using non local mean filter
o Designed algorithms and coded them on MATLAB for counting the number of object in an image
irrespective of all orientation, size, overlapping etc
