Notes

1. Simplified model analyzed with Autodesk Revit and Insight.

2. Autodesk Insight estimates building to cost $1.04 sf2/yr.

3. Energy savings are largely due to use of solar panels on

rooftops of parking structures and large porches on southern
face of airport (airplane side).

Notes

1. Exhaust air is tapped from the return ducts

before it can enter the AHU. It then is driven by
a fan up to the roof and out of the building.

2. Fresh air mixes with return air in the AHU

after the exhaust air has been taken out. This
air is then treated and sent out as supply air
to the building zones.

Notes

1. The supply air comes into the building through

jet diffusers attached to the supply ducts. This
shoots the air about 40 - 60 feet depending on the
angle of the diffuser.

2. The return air is taken in through wall grilles

instead of overhead diffusers so that the building
seems more spacious.

Cooling Tower

Chiller

The chillers send warm water back to the cooling

tower to be cooled. The pipes take a longer path
back to the tower so the water can lose heat to
the surrounding soil and thus the cooling tower
has to cool the water less.
