Dear Alejandro Delgadillo ,

Starting fall of 2019, I will be attending UC Merced as an Undeclared major of natural science
and minor in social science. I am seeking to become a mentor to upcming sophmores & juniors
in high school, to help them purse an interest in college. Patrica Zarco, the former Project
Director of the Gateway Scholars Program through UC Merced’s Center for Educational
Partnerships has recommended me to try and get a mentorship position.​ ​Here are a few skills &
highlights I can bring to the table at Calvin E. Bright Success Center. I am a certified bilingual
speaker from the Merced County Office of Education. A solid understanding of requirements
needed to be applicable to enter JC, CSU, UC, etc. Strong communication skills with peers,
teachers, professors, to have teams to make dreams become goals. Hardworking, good problem
solver, self-directed work ethic with a direction to detail.

I am confident that my skills and experiences will allow me to be a significant value to the
mentorship. An interview to further review your needs and my skills would be mutually
