Christopher Columbus was born on October 31, 1451, in Genoa.

He was a
navigator, explorer, admiral and viceroy in colonial times. He was the man who
discovered a new continent for the European continent, arriving in the
Bahamas Islands and was the first man to make a round trip route.
Christopher Columbus maintained that the Far East could be reached from
Europe by sailing the Atlantic Ocean westwards, and that it was possible to
make the journey by sea with a chance of success.
