ATCC V1.

0 README
----------------

This is the older, free, fully-functional version of Air Traffic Control

Center, but without sound (pilots communicate with text messages only).
If you like this program, show your support and upgrade to Version 1.1,
which has talking pilots, at www.xavius.com!

READ THE MANUAL

---------------

Be sure to read the manual by clicking on the ATCC Manual shortcut that
will be placed on your desktop. There is really no way around it--this
is a very detailed simulation, and unless you are already a real-life
controller it may seem overwhelming. But, the knowledge gained from this
sim applies to reality, from both a controller and pilot perspective,
and is a great hobby. The manual has both the detailed sim instructions
and a good background on aviation in general.

Also open and print out the sector documents and quick reference cards
found under Start/Programs/Air Traffic Control Center/Sector
Documentation, which you should memorize or keep next to your computer
as you run the program.

PROGRAM LOCKS OR CRASHES?

-------------------------

If the simulation freezes after 10-20 minutes, open your c:\ATCC folder
and find and double-click on the the MemoryFix icon. Then, restart your
computer. This is a quick program that changes the DOS mode startup
information to be more friendly with ATCC. You can always change it back
with the supplied MemoryUndo program, if you need to.

SECTOR MAPS SEEM CUT OFF?

-------------------------

If the sector maps seem cut off (which happens with some newer versions
of Microsoft Word), open them using WordPad, located under
Start/Programs/Accessories. (The maps can be found in the c:\atcc\doc
folder).

PRESSING 'N' FOR NEW EMPLOYEE DOES NOTHING?

-------------------------------------------

Press the 'N' key WHILE the red box telling you to do so is still
onscreen, not where it asks for your initials.

Email support@xavius.com if you have any questions or problems, and

we'll be glad to help!
