The Equation And A Quadratic Function Of Class X In SMA Negeri 1 Sanden”.
Thesis. Yogyakarta : Ahmad Dahlan University.

ABSTRACT

Existing learning methods tend to make students passive and unable to

develop thinking skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to adapt well. Indirectly,
this learning method makes students lack the understanding of the material and
the students also lack the ability to apply mathematical concepts in solving
everyday problems. In addition, a computer lab that is not fully utilized as a
medium of learning mathematics, the study aims to develop a multimedia learning
of mathematics based on problem based learning using Macromedia Flash 8 to the
subject of the equation and a quadratic function of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sanden
as well as to determine the level the feasibility of the media developed.
The study was conducted in the Research and Development (R & D).
Broadly speaking, the stages are passed, namely the potential and problems, data
collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, product testing,
product revision, utility testing, product revision, and mass production. Subjects
were media experts, subject matter experts, and students SMA Negeri 1 Sanden.
The collection of data in the form of interviews and questionnaires. Technical
analysis of the data was done qualitatively and quantitatively to calculate the score
results of the feasibility test developed learning media.
Based on the results of the validation, due diligence review by three
experts, media included in the excellent category with an average score of 62.33.
Feasibility test by three experts of material included in the excellent category with
an average score of 54.67. While the results of the questionnaire responses of
students in small classes trials included in both categories with an average score of
37.14 and the results of learning media student questionnaire responses on field
trials included in both categories with an average score of 40.66. These results
suggest that multimedia-based learning math problem based learning using
Macromedia Flash 8 to the subject of the equation and a quadratic function of
class X SMA Negeri 1 Sanden.
