1. What is the main idea of the text?
 The main idea of text is many of websites offer online services to donate so
philanthropic reaches further via the internet and makes it easier for someone
who wants to donate.

2. Please explain the meaning of the word philanthropy and philanthrophist!

 Philanthropy is an idea, event, or action that is done to better humanity
and usually involves some sacrifice as opposed to being done for a profit
motive. Acts of philanthropy include donating money to a charity,
volunteering at a local shelter, or raising money to donate to cancer
research. Philanthropy can also be interpreted goodwill to fellow
members of the human race; especially: active effort to promote human
welfare and an act or gift done or made for humanitarian purposes. The
purpose of philanthropy is to improve the wellbeing of humankind by
preventing and solving social problems. Charity focuses on eliminating
the suffering caused by social problems, while philanthropy focuses on
eliminating social problems.
 Philanthropist is a person who practices philanthropy. A philanthropist is
a person who gives money or gifts to charities, or helps needy people in
other ways.

3. Why do you think some people arrange philanthrophy activities through the
internet?
My opinion about some people organize philanthropic activities through the
internet because with the internet can make philanthropy activities such as
fundraising and donations easier to do. Without having to visit orphanages,
nursing homes or other social foundations, donations can be done through
sites such as kitabisa.com, beranimimpi.id, ayopeduli.com and other donation
sites.

These websites can be used as online containers that provide fundraising and
donation receipts for idea owners and / or social campaigns. Starting from
foundation programs, community initiatives, student ideas, disaster relief, to
 joint ventures for personal needs. Donation funds are received from site users
who support such ideas and / or social campaigns. so the rampant use of the
internet can have a positive impact.

4. Please explain your opinion about philanthropy activities on the internet!

My opinion about philanthropy activities on the internet is program
philanthropy or public fundraising for social activities increasingly become a
trend along with the start of the rise of internet users in Indonesia, so the
rampant use of the internet can have a positive impact. Many ways to do
philanthropy one of them through the internet. on the internet a lot of website
organizations that offer online services to donate property through the
internet. so without having to visit orphanages, nursing homes or other social
foundations, donations can be done through the website.
