5 Year Plan

Throughout my highschool years planning for my future has been a key motivation for

me. Having my goals and achievements show out is what motivates me through tough times and

working my hardest. After I graduate High school I plan to attend the Merced Junior College

where I can finish my prerequisites. I decided to attend the Junior College to save me money in

the long run and get myself together before I move on to the real world on my own. I plan to

continue working while being a fulltime student and save money for the next college I transfer

to. After my two years I plan to transfer out to San Jose State and obtain my degree in Liberal

Studies.

Although I am not 100% sure if this is the exact college I want to transfer to I do plan on

leaving merced and living on my own by the time I transfer to the university. While I am in

college I plan to get a job or internship as a Teachers assistant at a school near me, I want to get

as much opportunity to work with kids as I can so I can have the most experience possible when

it comes to my actual job. A possibility would be working at an after school program such as

ASSETS or working with other teachers during the day as a teachers aid. I hope with this

experience I will gain the proper assistance to make my way towards my profession and work

my hardest to get where I need be in the education field. After college I plan to step my foot

forward towards teaching, I plan to start as an elementary school teacher then moving my way up

to administration. For me, becoming a role model and leader to younger kids and watching them

grow is my main goal, I want to be that stepping stone for children and helping them reach their

goal. I know for me personally some of my elementary school teachers have been my greatest

role models throughout schooling and have shaped me into the person I am today. While being
an elementary school teacher I plan to take a rest from schooling for about two years to receive

the information and experience needed to move up to administration. After those two years I plan

on taking the necessary classes to move on to administration. Depending on my administration

experience I would most definitely like to move up to a principal position. I plan to use this time

to gain major experience on my career path and using this time to really decide what I want to do

with my life and determining my life goals and ideas towards it and what goes on. My main goal

is to gain the most experience and enjoy my career and enjoy what I decide to do with the rest of

my life. My main goal in these next 5 years is to be the happiest I can be and have the confidence

to have an idea on what I want. After college and schooling I plan to be the most successful I can

be and the happiest I can be. I hope to have everything go as planned, and plan to work my

hardest to get there. It did take my awhile to decide my major and what I want to do with the rest

of my life but it also doesn't determine what I want to do with my life. I want to work my hardest

to get where I want to be and have the stepping stools to get there.

As a working full time student I know it won’t be easy it will take a lot of hard work late

nights and different things to do. I know it will be full of stress and new ideas which will

maintain different things as well. With the two years if preparation and staying local in merced

and getting myself together. I think being able to stay local and getting into new things and

working together and making new friend along the way will help me the most.

I plan to be as social as possible and still enjoy life throughout everything and still

enjoying myself while being successful and having that major support throughout it all. In

conclusion I hope these plans become a reality and will with my hard work and dedication.
