TEAM INFORMATION
Our team applied The Student Leadership Challenge practice “Inspire a Shared Vision” to this
competitive event. This was achieved by coordinating frequently with the team and making sure
everyone was on the same page. For example, at the beginning of the competitive season the team met
with each other and started brainstorming and developing ideas for the game. The team had to discuss
the gameplay, plot, design, and educational value of the game in later meetings. The team eventually
came up with an idea and then made sure all members of the team understood what the game was about
and how we were going to execute the project. By the end of the meetings the team knew the plan and
could easily relay it to everyone. The team then continued to work together while the game and
documentation were in development by assigning roles. Roles made it easier so the team can divide up
the work equally and so each member can specialize in a specific area of the event.
The members of the team applied the Student Leadership Challenge practice “Enable Others to Act”
in order to complete the Leadership Activity “Leadership Roles”. The team executed the practice by having
every team member contribute to the project in a major way. This can be shown through every member of
the team having a big assignment to do in order to complete the assignment. For example the team divided
the work into three major groups for the project: coding, graphics, and documentation. The team then
assigned two people to each group to get the maximum efficiency possible.
