V. A Production Process

To begin the fitness center daily operation, a regularly scheduled walk-through

should occur and include turning on the lights, fans and televisions, as well as

evaluating each piece of equipment such as elliptical, treadmills, steppers, spin bike,

power tower and the speaker for Zumba to make sure that each piece is working

properly. This means having a dedicated staff member responsible for turning on a

piece of equipment and checking to make sure that everything from the LCD screen to

the actual mechanisms of the equipment is working properly. In addition to this, perform

a simple evaluation of the overall condition of the machine, including the belts, cables

and pulleys. The upholstery experiences a heavy amount of wear and should be

checked daily for signs of damage and any exposed sharp edges. To increase the

lifespan, keep the upholstery clean and advise users on placing down a towel as well as

wearing proper clothing when working out. They should not wear clothing with buttons

or tabs that can tear at the upholstery.

The company will purchase all the equipment needed from Ensayo Gym

Equipment. All Ensayo products go through stringent research & development and they

are also trained to adhere to the company’s mission-vision; of producing the best

creating a good relationship with the customers but also work as hard on building a

good supplier relationship. The organization will make long-term and healthy

relationships with its suppliers as an integral part of its supply chain strategy

V. B Personnel Requirement

The staff of Cuts and Curves fitness Center will selected on the basis of being

the best in their perspective fields. The Trainers and instructor will be a full time and will

be paid bimonthly. The trainer and instructor will have more 5 years of experiencing

working and training clients, either form an individual practice or from a competing

fitness studios/ gym facility.

Responsibilities will include:

 Identifying specific training needs

 Construct client specific instructional programs

 Monitoring and communicating client progress

 Demonstrate each physical activity

 Apply and teach clients specific nutritional practice

The sales administrator will be a full time, the person will have excellent sales,

communication and customer service skills. she/he is a college graduate ant at least 2

years’ industry related experience.

Responsibilities will include:


 Conducting fitness studios tours for potential members describing and facility,

equipment, service and amenities.

 Generates leads through community outreach including establishing and

maintaining lead bowls, posting flyers/ signs and distributing guest passes.

The office administrator will be the forefront of the studio and will establish the initial

contact with client members entering the facility. The office administrator will be a

college graduate, with excellent personal and communication skills. the office

administrator will have a minimum of 1 year working in a similar environment and must

have a solid understanding of the health and fitness industry.

Responsibilities will include:

 Greet member and guests promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile to

create a friendly positive entrance into the fitness studio.

 Registered all guest into the gym using proper registration procedure.

 Answer the company telephone in a professional and courteous manner.

 Respond immediately to member requests, inquiries and concern.

 Distributes keys towels and other materials needed.

The maintenance staff will be required to understand the importance of keeping

the facility clean on a continuous basis, which includes the fitness areas, showers,

washrooms etc. As well, the maintenance staff must be able to address any inquiries by

members and direct them to appropriate department that can assist with the client’s

questions, comments or concerns.
