The Best of My Days

‫ي‬
ْ ِ‫ َوخَ ْي َر َع َمل‬،‫ي آخِ َر ُه‬
ْ ِ‫اج َع ْل خَ ْي َر زَ َمان‬
ْ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم‬
‫اك‬
َ ‫لق‬َ ‫ي ِي ْو َم َأ‬
ْ ‫ام‬ِ ‫ي‬ َ
َّ ‫ َوخَ ْي َر‬،‫خَ َواتِ َم ُه‬
‫أ‬

“O Allah, let the best of my lifetime be its ending, and

my best deed be that which I seal [my life with], and
the best of my days the day I meet You.”

Ramadan Day 2
His Door is Always Open

َ ‫ َو َب ُاب‬،‫الملُ ْو ُك َأ ْب َو َاب َها‬

‫ك‬ ُ ‫الع ُي ْو ُن َوغَ لَّ َقت‬

َ َ‫ َون‬،‫ِإلَ ِهي َغ َارت النُّ ُج ْو ُم‬

ِ ‫ َو َهذَ ا َم َق‬، ِ‫ب ِب َح ِب ْي ِبه‬

“O Allah, the stars have vanished, the eyes have slept, the kings have
locked their doors, and Your door remains open. Every lover has found
privacy with their beloved, and here I am standing before You.”

A Covenant With Allah

ِ‫اج َعلْ ُه لِ ي ِعنْ َد َك َع ْه َد ًا تُ َؤ ِّده‬ ْ ‫ك َف‬َ ِ‫َو ِإنِّ ي ِإ ْن َأثِ ُق ِإ َّل ِب َر ْح َمت‬
‫اد‬
َ ‫الم ْي َع‬
ِ ‫ف‬ ُ ِ‫ك َل تُ خْ ل‬
َ َّ‫ ِإن‬، ِ‫امة‬
َ ‫الق َي‬
ِ ‫ي َي ْو َم‬
َّ َ‫ِإل‬

“O Allah, Originator of the heavens and earth, Knower

of the seen and unseen, I testify in this worldly life of
mine that if You leave me to myself, You are by that
bringing my closer to harm and distancing me from
good. I have no confidence except in Your mercy, so let
that be a covenant that You deliver to me on the Day of
Judgment — for You never break Your promises.”

The Hand that Kills Me

ُ ‫ك َصلَّ ى‬ َ ِ‫َبلَ دِ َر ُس ْول‬

ً‫ك َس ْج َدة‬
َ َ‫ي َعلَ ى َيدِ َع ْبدٍ َس َج َد ل‬ ْ ِ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ال تَ ْج َع ْل َقتْ ل‬
ِ‫امة‬ َ ‫الق َي‬
ِ ‫ي ِب َها َي ْو َم‬ ْ ِ‫اجن‬
ُّ ‫َي َح‬

“O Allah I ask you to be accepted as a martyr in

the city of your Prophet.”

“O Allah, do not let my killing be at the hand of

someone who ever prostrated to You, lest he
use that against me on the Day of Judgment.”

The Highest Companionship in the Highest Garden

ِ‫اف َقة‬ َ ُ‫ي َأ ْس َأل‬

َ ‫ َو ُم َر‬، ‫ َونِ ِع ْي ًما ال َينْ َف ُد‬، ‫ك ِإ ْي َمانً ا ال َي ْرتَ ُّد‬ ْ ِّ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ِإن‬
ِ‫الله َعلَ ْيهِ َو َسلَّ َم ـ ِفي َأ ْعلَ ى َجنَّ ةِ الخُ لْ د‬ ُ ‫ك ُم َح َّم ٍد ـ َصلَّ ى‬ َ ‫نَ ِب ِّي‬

“O Allah, I ask You for faith that does not unravel, and
delight that never depletes, and the companionship of
Your prophet Muhammad (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam)
in the highest eternal garden.”

O Allah You Know That I Love You

ِ‫لما نَ زَ َل ِبه‬
َّ ‫ َو‬، ‫اح النَّ ِار َو ِم ْن َم َسائِ َها‬ ِ ‫ك ِم ْن َص َب‬ َ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ِإنِّ ي َأ ُع ْوذُ ِب‬
َ ‫ي ُأحِ ُّب‬
‫ك‬ ْ ِّ‫ك تَ ْعلَ ُم َأن‬
َ ِّ‫ اللَّ ُه َّم ِإن‬،‫الدنْ َيا‬
ُّ ‫اعةٍ ِم ْن‬َ ‫ َه ِذهِ آخِ ُر َس‬:‫ال‬ َ ‫ت َق‬ ُ ‫الم ْو‬
َ
‫ك‬
َ ِ‫ي ِفي لِ َقائ‬
ْ ِ‫َف َب ِار ْك ل‬

“O Allah, I seek shelter with You from mornings and

evenings in the Hellfire.”
“This is my last hour in this world. O Allah, You know
that I certainly love You, so bless my meeting with You.”

‫ﺖ َﻓ َﺄﺛِ ْﺒﻨِ ﻲ‬ ‫ﺖ ِﺑ َﻤﺎ َﻗ َﻀ ْﻴ َ‬ ‫اﻟﻠَّ ُﻬ َّﻢ َﻗ ْﺪ ِﺳﻠَّ ْﻤﺘُ ُﻪ ِ َﻷ ْﻣ ِﺮ َك ِﻓ ْﻴﻪِ ‪َ ،‬و َر ِﺿ ْﻴ ُ‬
‫اﻟﺸﺎﻛِ ِﺮ ْﻳ َﻦ‬
‫اﻟﺼ ِﺎﺑ ِﺮ ْﻳ َﻦ َّ‬
‫اب َّ‬
‫ِﻓﻲ َﻋ ْﺒ ِﺪ اﻟﻠﻪِ ﺛَ َﻮ َ‬

The Greed of the Soul

‫اللَّ ُه َّم ِقنِ ي ُش َّح نَ ْف ِسي‬

“O Allah, protect me from the greed of my soul!”

A Prayer More Powerful Than the Wind

‫ك َف َأ ِرنَ ا َع ْف َو َك‬

“You have shown us Your power, so show us

Your forgiveness.”

Don’t Punish a Tongue of Praise

‫ َوال َع ْي ًنا تَ نْ ُظ ُر ِإلَ ى ُعلُ ْو ٍم تَ ُد ُّل‬،‫ك‬ ً ‫ب لِ َس‬

َ ْ‫انا ُيخْ ِب ُر َعن‬ ْ ِّ‫ي َال تُ َعذ‬
ْ ‫ِإلَ ِه‬
‫ك ال تُ ْدخِ لَ نِ ي النَّ َار‬
َ ِ‫ك؛ َف ِب ِعزَّ ت‬
َ ِ‫ث َر ُس ْول‬
َ ‫ب َح ِد ْي‬ ً ‫ َوال َي‬، ‫ك‬
ُ ُ‫دا تَ كْ ت‬ َ ‫َعلَ ْي‬

“My God, do not punish a tongue that informs about

You, nor an eye that looks upon (Islamic) sciences
which point to You, nor a hand that writes the
traditions of Your Messenger. So by Your honor,
do not admit me into the Fire.”

Don’t Make An Example Out Of Me

‫ َوال‬، ‫ي‬ْ ‫ي عِ ْب َرةً لِ غَ ْي ِر‬

ْ ِ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ال تَ ْج َعلْ ن‬
‫ي‬ ْ ِ‫دا َأ ْس َع َد ِب َما َعلَّ ْمتَ ن‬
ْ ِّ‫ي ِمن‬ ً ‫تَ ْج َع ْل َأ َح‬

“O Allah, do not make a lesson out of me for others,

and do not let there be anyone who benefits more
than me from what You’ve taught me.”

A Station of Patience Without Trial

‫دا ِم ْن عِ َبادِ َك‬ً ‫ت َأ َح‬ َ ‫ت َبلَ ْغ‬ َ ْ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ِإ ْن كُ ن‬

ِ‫اف َية‬
ِ ‫الع‬
َ ‫الصالِ حِ ْي َن َد َر َجةً ِب َب َلءٍ َف َبلِّ ْغنِ ْي َها ِب‬
َّ

“O Allah, if you have granted any righteous servant

of Yours a station because of a trial they faced, then
grant it to me while sparing me that trial.”

My Evil vs. His Good

‫اللَّ ُه َّم ال تَ ْح ِر ْمنِ ي خَ ْي َر َما ِعنْ َد َك لِ َش ِّر َما عِ نْ دِ ي‬

“O Allah dont forbid me from the good you have,

for the evil I have.”

The Prayer of A Tree

ً ْ‫ند َك ذُ خ‬
‫ َوتَ َق ّبلْ َها‬،‫را‬ َ ِ‫ي ع‬ ْ ‫ َو‬،‫ِب َها ِوزْ ًرا‬
ْ ِ‫اج َعلْ َها ل‬
ِ‫او َد َعلَ ْيه‬
ُ ‫ي كَ َما تَ َق َّبلْ تَ َها ِم ْن َع ْبدِ َك َد‬
ْ ِّ‫ِمن‬
‫الم‬
ُ ‫والس‬
َّ ُ‫الصالة‬
َّ

“O Allah, write for me a reward with You because

of it (the prostration), and remove from me a sin
because of it, and stow it for me as a treasure
with You, and accept it from me as You accepted
it from Your servant David (Dawud), upon him be
blessings and peace.”

“In the name of Allah; with His name, nothing whatsoever

on earth or heaven can inflict any harm; He is All-Hearing
and All-Knowing.”

Make Me Better Than What They Think

َ ُّ‫اج َعلْ نِ ى خَ ْي ًرا ِم َّما َي ُظن‬
ْ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم‬
‫ون َو َل تُ َؤاخِ ذْ نِ ى ِب َما َي ُقولُ ون‬ َ ‫َما َل َي ْعلَ ُم‬

“O Allah, make me better than what they

think of me, and forgive me for what they
do not know about me, and do not take me
to account for what they say about me.”

َ‫ول الْ َجنَّ ةِ َوالْ َف ْوز‬
َ ُ‫ام النِّ ْع َمةِ ُدخ‬
ِ ‫ال “ َف ِإ َّن ِم ْن تَ َم‬ َ ‫ َق‬. ‫ت ِب َها َأ ْر ُجو ِب َها الْ خَ ْي َر‬
ُ ‫َد ْع َوةٌ َد َع ْو‬
‫يب‬َ ‫استُ ِج‬ ْ ِ‫ال “ َقد‬ َ ‫ام َف َق‬ِ ‫اإلكْ َر‬
ِ ‫ول َيا ذَ ا الْ َج َال ِل َو‬
ُ ‫ َو َس ِم َع َر ُج ًال َو ُه َو َي ُق‬. “ ‫ِم َن النَّ ِار‬
‫ول اللَّ ُه َّم ِإنِّ ي‬
ُ ‫ي صلى الله عليه وسلم َر ُج ًال َو ُه َو َي ُق‬
ُّ ‫ َو َس ِم َع النَّ ِب‬. “ ‫ك َف َس ْل‬
َ َ‫ل‬
َ‫اف َية‬
ِ ‫ت اللَّ َه الْ َب َال َء َف َسلْ ُه الْ َع‬َ ْ‫ال “ َس َأل‬ َ ‫ َف َق‬. ‫الص ْب َر‬
َّ ‫ك‬ َ ُ‫“ َأ ْس َأل‬
‫ي‬
ِّ ‫ َع ِن الْ ُج َر ْي ِر‬،‫يم‬ َ ‫اه‬ ِ ‫يل ْب ُن ِإ ْب َر‬
ُ ِ‫ َح َّدثَ نَ ا ِإ ْس َماع‬،‫يع‬ َ
ٍ ِ‫ح َّدثَ نَ ا أ ْح َم ُد ْب ُن َمن‬،

‫يث َح َس ٌن‬ ٌ ِ‫يسى َهذَ ا َحد‬ َ ِ‫ال َأ ُبو ع‬ َ ‫اإل ْسنَ ادِ نَ ْح َو ُه َق‬ ِ ‫ِب َهذَ ا‬

Mu`adh bin Jabal narrated that the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬

heard a man supplicating, saying:
“O Allah! Verily, I ask You for the bounty’s completion (Allāhumma, innī
as’aluka tamāman-ni`mah).” So he (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “What thing is the bounty’s
completion?” He said: “A supplication that I made, that I hope for good by
it.” He (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “Indeed, part of the bounty’s completion is the entrance
into Paradise, and salvation from the Fire.” And he (‫ )ﷺ‬heard a man while
he was saying: “O Possessor of Majesty and Honor (Yā Dhal-Jalāli wal-
Ikrām)” So he (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “You have been responded to, so ask.” And the
Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬heard a man while he was saying: “O Allah, indeed, I ask You
for patience (Allāhumma, innī as’alukaṣ-ṣabr)” He (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “You have
asked Allah for trial, so ask him for Al-`Āfiyah.”

Death After Fajr

“O Allah! Make my last deed in this

life the performance of Fajr prayer”

Your Perfect Light

، ‫ك َأ ْف َض ُل الْ َع ِط َّيةِ َو َأ ْهنَ ُأ َها‬ َ ُ‫ َو َع ِط َّيت‬، ِ‫ك خَ ْي ُر الْ َجاه‬ َ ‫اه‬ ُ ‫ َو َج‬، ِ‫الْ ُو ُجوه‬
‫يب‬ُ ‫ تُ ِج‬، ‫ت‬
َ ْ‫ َوتُ ْع َصى َر َّبنَ ا َفتَ غْ ِف ُر لِ َم ْن ِشئ‬، ‫اع َر َّبنَ ا َفتَ ْشكُ ُر‬
ُ ‫تُ َط‬
‫ َوتُ نْ ِجي ِم َن‬، ‫يم‬
َ ‫الس ِق‬َّ ‫ َوتَ ْش ِفي‬، ‫الض َّر‬ ُّ ‫ف‬ ُ ‫ َوتَ كْ ِش‬، ‫الْ ُم ْض َط َّر‬
‫ك َوال‬
َ ِ‫ ال َي ْج ِزي ِبآالئ‬، ‫وب‬
َ ُ‫ َوتَ غْ ِف ُر الذُّ ن‬، َ‫ َوتَ ْق َب ُل التَّ ْو َبة‬، ‫ب‬
ِ ‫الْ كَ ْر‬
‫ُي ْح ِصي نَ ْع َم َاء َك َق ْو ُل َقائِ ٍل‬

“Your light was complete, so You guided; all praise is to You. Your
forbearance was great, so You forgave; all praise is to You. You held
out Your Hand, so You gave; all praise is to You. Our Lord, Your face
is the noblest of faces, Your prestige is the greatest prestige, and
Your gifts are the best of gifts and the most wonderful. Our Lord, You
are obeyed and You show appreciation. You are disobeyed, Our Lord,
yet you pardon whomever. You respond to one in hardship and you
remove harm. You heal the sick. You deliver from difficulty. You accept
repentance. You forgive sins. The word of no one can compensate for
your bounties, nor count the praises You deserve.”

‫ادةِ َف َأثْ ِبتْ نِ ي‬َ ‫الس َع‬ َّ ‫ت كَ تَ ْبتَ نِ ي ِفي َأ ْه ِل‬ َ ْ‫اللَّ ُه َّم ِإ ْن كُ ن‬
َ‫الش ْق َوة‬ ِّ ‫ب َو‬ َ ْ‫ي الذَّ ن‬
َّ َ‫ت َعل‬
َ ‫ت كَ تَ ْب‬
َ ْ‫يها َو ِإ ْن كُ ن‬َ ‫ِف‬
‫ك تَ ْم ُحو َما‬ َ َّ‫ادةِ َف ِإن‬ َّ ‫ام ُحنِ ي َو َأثْ ِبتْ نِ ي ِفي َأ ْه ِل‬
َ ‫الس َع‬ ْ ‫َف‬
ِ َ‫ت َوعِ نْ َد َك ُأ ُّم الْ كِ ت‬
‫اب‬ ُ ‫تَ َش ُاء َوتُ ثْ ِب‬

“O Allah, if you have written me among the blessed,

then affirm it therein. And if you have written me
among the sinful and the damned, then wipe it away
and affirm me among the blessed. Verily, you wipe
away and affirm whatever you will, and with you is
the mother of the Book.”

Beautify Me Internally

‫ت خَ لْ ِقي َف َح ِّس ْن خُ لُ ِقي‬

َ ْ‫اللَّ ُه َّم كَ َما َح َّسن‬

“O Allah, As you have beautified me externally,

beautify me internally.”

Show Us Guidance and Error

‫اط َل‬ َ ‫ َو َأ ِر ِن‬، ِ‫اعه‬

ِ ‫الب‬ ِ ‫ي ِلتِّ َب‬ َ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم َأ ِر ِن‬
ْ ِ‫الح َّق َح ّق ًا َو َو ِّف ْقن‬
ِ‫ي ِل ْجتِ نَ ِابه‬
ْ ِ‫اط ًال َو َو ِّف ْقن‬
ِ ‫َب‬

“O Allah show me guidance as guidance, and allow me

to follow it. And show me error as error, and allow me
to avoid it.”
