Affected Products: Allen Bradley and SWEO/Baldor AC and DC drives were the standard drive
equipment on Montgomery Elevators with Miprom 2, Megatech and Miprom 21 control
systems, shipped from 1984 to 2000. These drives were used in both geared and gearless
elevator configurations.

KONE Spares Support Program for Continuing Care

Maintenance programs have supported the above drives by replacing the main components or
repairing the drive through established certified facilities. However, the repair of the above
drives is no longer offered by KONE Spares because of field life and component age.

In an ongoing effort to support its customers, KONE Spares is offering drive panel
conversions, a custom engineered solution, for customers who wish to maintain their
equipment without a full modernization. The benefits of converting to a new drive panel with
digital components are excellent performance and reliability.

KONE Spares continues to provide full software and parts support for the above control
systems. Therefore, a drive panel conversion path, is advantageous for continuous vertical
service.
