AGE OF DRIVING LICENSE

Nowadays, driving license can be given since you get the estipulate age, in some
countries you are able to start to drive a car at the age of sixteen, nevertheless, there
are some countries that you must be eighteen years old. Many people and I think that
having a driving license is a lot of responsibility, so it’s not appropriate unless you get
eighteen years old. For example, a young person has enough knowledge to know what
is wrong or right, but anyways, they go to the school in a car and go out with their partners
and drive without the conscience of how dangerous could be driving faster and talking at
the phone or just be concentrate in everything less the road.
Because of the mentioned before, there are many accidents in the world due to lack of
consciousness. It’s better to wait to get eighteen years old, a perfect age to have more
awareness and maturity, it’s not necessary to get a lot of responsibility soon, everything
comes in time. We just must be patient!
Besides in this country, Colombia shouldn’t allow driving since sixteen, this country has
a lot of accidents every day, many old people drive under hallucinogens, alcohol and
talking at the phone, without documents and so on, and they’re supposed to be mature,
so, what can be wait from young people that have just sixteen?
Finally, I believe that the driver's age should be raised to eighteen. When looking at the
overall maturity of teenagers, it is safe to say that raising the minimum driving should be
considered. According to news driving accidents are the leading cause of death for
people under the age of eighteen.
