Pressure on characters

Both Tom and Jessica feel pressure when Jessica says “She died.”
Referring to Jessica’s sister. But Tom seems to think about it but Jessica
afterwards wasn’t fazed.
Quotes

“The words were almost inaudible, but it felt if all the air was pulled out of me
when she said them.” That lets us infer that Tom felt uncomfortable and
weird when Jessica said her sister died.
 Words and phrases

Fumbled. If i didn’t understand what it meant i could infer what it meant through
the sentence. The seantance is “Her fingers fumbled a bit in it,and she leaned
over to peer in the case a pencil and a photo fell out of it.”So you can infur that
fumbled means that Jessica kinda did it for a while and it was kinda akward.
Figurative Language

Tom says “My eyes were drawn to the girl.” Tom’s eyes weren't actually
drawing the girl, it means he couldn’t stop looking at her.
Theme

Sometimes in life you think something might be something, but

it’s really something else.
Music

I chose this music because it was sad and the chapter is about
when people find out that Jessica’s sister is dead. Yes her sister
doesn’t actually exist but when that chapter takes place we don’t
know that. But it’s also fast music because at the beggening
everyone’s excited that their’s something that they can relate to
with Jessica.

I think the book cover fits because it shows how everyone

thought Jessica was so weird and different, but really she
was gold. (well not literally)
