WEEKLY JOURNALS

This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?

THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.

THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS
FORM FILLED IN FOR YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS. THERE SHOULD BE 11 WEEKLY BLOG ENTRIES (INCLUDING
EASTER).

Week Four - Planning

PLANNING

What did you learn from your planning I learned what elements need to be considered for planning
this week? such as the location recces, the script, clearances and
confirmations, a contingency plan, and a production
schedule.

What issues did you encounter and The only main issues I encountered were trying to find people
how did you overcome them? to interview, this week I have only found one person to
interview. I have other people who I have just emailed so
hopefully I can find other interviews. In the mean time I will try
to find other people who I can interview as back up interviews.

How did you ensure that your

storyboards were completed to a high
standard?

How has your planning My planning has changed in the sense that I keep finding
developed/changed during the things to add into my documentary and things that I can
planning stage? change for example, I found that I should end my
documentary on a positive note therefore I am going to ask
each of my interviewees “How do you think young people can
be more encouraged to pursue music?” so there is not just
negatives in the documentary.

How have you ensured your I have only included stuff which is relevant and informative, for
script/shooting script is of a high example I have opened the documentary by giving a brief
detailed standard? explanation of what the issues in music education today are,
and I have then gone onto include facts and information
about what other sources have said about the topic to prove
my point. This is where I have then gone onto introduce the
interviews to see what others have to say.
How well have you managed and I have emailed each person I plan to interview in advance
organised your cast and crew to be in along with a list of questions I intend to ask them so that they
available when you need them? can prepare some answers.

Are you on track for the week? If not, I am on track for the week.
how far behind are you?

What work do you need to complete Only weekly blogs.
