Industrial Engineering – International Business Engineering

Industrial engineers are trained to design modern business operations. You come across the results of their work
inside efficient banks, fast-food restaurants, hospitals, in advanced manufacturing plants, in telecommunications, and
in the world-wide shipping industry. Theme-parks, chemical plants, airlines, oil refineries, seaports and military
operations today rely on planning and design founded on the subjects of industrial engineering: business
management, mathematics, physics and mathematical statistics, operations research, ergonomics and workplace-
psychology, industrial economics, quality and reliability engineering and production engineering.

Electrical Engineering with Emphasis in Telecommunication

The first two years of program focuses on building the foundation of an electrical engineer, i.e. course in
mathematics, computer engineering, computer networks (i.e. go through a CISCO certification process), electronics,
programming, and sustainable (environmental) product development. In the end of the second year these newly
gained engineering skills will be applied and tested by the building an advance electronics prototype. The last year
you can choose to focus on understanding telecommunication systems or focus on understanding of signal
processing in modern telecommunication. You will study theory for the methods as well as apply the methods in
practice (i.e. GSM, 3G, wireless LAN, Ethernet, Internet, TCP/IP, IP-telephony, speech and image enhancement).
This program will be concluded with a final project that can be done at BTH or at company.

International Tourism Management

The programme focuses on international tourism and destination management from a mangement and planning
perspective. After conclusion of your studies your major will be given in either Human Geography or Business
Administration. The choice is made prior to the last semester of the program

Textile – Garment – Design

This program is intended for anyone wanting to work with textiles as it relates to people and surroundings in differing
forums, one of which is the performance stage. The program enables you work with fashion, textile design, and art
and crafts as an employee or entrepreneur. The three-year program is project based. Each project focuses on the
explorative, progressive and developmental, and reflective processes as they pertain to both public and private
settings. The program offers a breadth of different textile techniques and materials that increases in depth and
complexity throughout the program. You will have access to well-equipped facilities where you can expand your
knowledge in areas such as pattern construction, knitting, sewing and seaming, weaving, textile printing, embroidery,
dyeing, theory, history as well as visual development and communication
