EVIDENCE: FORUM “SHARING EXPERIENCES”

When I lived in Tunja Boyacá:

When I was 25 years old I was offered a job opportunity in the city of Tunja for 2
years, the salary was very competitive and some benefits. such as transportation
and lunch. Even though it was an interesting opportunity, it was going to be a drastic
change in my life: I was going to be away from my family, the weather was really
cold (I always lived in Cordoba, where the weather is hot), and the culture was also
different.

I thought that I was not going to adapt to the conditions, however I accepted the
offer and I saw it as an opportunity to grow personally and Professionally, the first
months were hard. I had to deal with the cold. I did not have a heater on my device.
The work was hard. He was working for the Governorate of Boyacá and had to Play
different roles in different areas of the position. Additionally, the food was different
from the food I was used to, so I was having feeding problems. It was difficult for
me to adapt to these conditions. But I was determined to stay and face the obstacle.
In the end, improvise and adapt, in this way things started to improve. I learned a
lot about culture and I made very good friends.
If I had not accepted that opportunity I would not have had such a wonderful
experience, friends and memories of the city of Tunja. Also if I had not learned
that. A lot about public issues would not be so successful in my current job where
I am in charge of formulating public investment projects.
