Research Design

The researchers utilized the descriptive method of research in assessing the Effectiveness

and Environmental Impacts of Plastic Ban as well as the effects and difficulties encountered. This

is the appropriate method to provide characteristics of a particular situation. It is descriptive

because it means to discover, describe, what exists, determine the frequency with which something

occurs, and categorize information. Descriptive method of research is valuable in examining the

phenomena that occurs at specific place/s and time. It is concerned with conditions, practices,

structures, differences, or relationship that exist, opinions held, and processes that are going on or

trends that are evident (Pedroza, 2014).

It is described the existing conditions in Bayambang, Pangasinan wherein plastic ban was

implemented. It is the most appropriate method to use because it provides adequate and accurate

interpretation of the findings.
