    WRITING ASSIGNMENT

    ENGLISH I (UBI 1012)

    Instruction : Write a narrative essay of about 250 - 350 words on ONE of


    the following two questions given. Your essay should have an
    introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion.

    QUESTION 1 (10 MARKS)

    At the beginning of new semester, your lecturer asked you to share about
    your experience working as a part-timer at one of the fast food restaurants at
    your hometown. You may include the following points in your story:

    ● How did you know about the vacancy?


    ● Your view on students working part time.
    ● What did you like about your workplace?
    ● What did you dislike about your workplace?
    ● What was your most memorable experience there?

    QUESTION 2 (10 MARKS)

    Imagine that you are away for a holiday at an unfamiliar place and you are
    contacting a friend or relative to share your exciting experience. What would
    you like to tell him/her about your holiday? You may use the following points
    to narrate your story.

    ● The food
    ● The accommodation
    ● Information about the weather
    ● Interesting activities you did during the vacation
    ● Reflection on the journey that you have experienced
