status in terms of usage of form and material. Prepare a document and a presentation on it giving
detailed information.

Details/ description of Select any one traditional textile or embroidery or costume from Indian region you belong to and prepare
assignment a presentation on its origin, evolution socio cultural context, purpose, meaning and material culture.
Study present status in terms of the use of the colour, motive and layout, raw material, usage and social
context.

Details/ description of Select any one example of painting/ sculpture/ architecture/ an object from any one of the topics from
assignment Eastern art session. Study the visual manifestation of world-view, as well as influences and exchanges.
Explain how the concept of Form, Colour, Space and Material has been handled in the same.
Prepare a document and presentation on it giving detailed information.
Topic should be decided by the students in consultation with the faculty with an aim to cover all the
topics from the given sessions.
