The ICAR-lndian Veterinary Research Institute, lzatnagar is holding online competitive examination
for Direct Recruitment to the vacant posts of Assistant in the Pay Level-6 (Pre-revised Scale of Rs. 9300-
34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200).
Number of posts: 34 {vacancies are subject to change/decrease). The number of vacancies to be filled
up is given below:

• Reservation for PD is horizontal reservation and included in the vacancies of various categories.
- Number of vacancies reserved for different categories i.e. UR, SC, ST, OBC, PD may decrease and
subject to the directions/instructions of Government of lndia/ICAR, accordingly reservation for EWS
(Economically Weaker Section) will be applicable as and when such guidelines are received from ICAR.
Essential Qualiflcat lons:Candidates must be a Graduate from a recognized University. For departmental
candidates: All candidates in Indian Council of Agricultural Research Service/Govt. Service, whether in
a permanent or temporary capacity or as work-changed employees, other than casual or daily rated
employees, will be required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing to their Head of
Office/ Department that they have applied for examination.

Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must have not attained the age of 27
years as on closing date of submission of application form which is 31st May, 2019. But the upper age
limit is relaxable upto 45 years in the case of serving regular employees of ICAR in the administrative
(ministerial) category. The upper age limits prescribed above will also be relaxable as per the provisions
of Government of lndia/ICAR.
Closing date for receipt of applications: 31 " May 2019.
How to apply: Only online form will be accepted for which a link will be in operation in lnstt. Website from
10.04.2019 at 10:00 AM to 31.05.2019 at 11 :59 PM. Therefore, all the applicants who desire to apply for
the above mentioned post are requested to submit their applications through online mode. Those
candidates who have already applied for the post are requested to apply online once again. The
candidates who have submitted fee through Demand Draft are required to mention the Draft number
and date of issue, in the link of fee submission as a transaction reference number on online mode.
