4. In terms of plot structure, how is the attack on the children foreshadowed.


Atticus made Ewell look bad in front of the whole town at the trial. The people
of the town did not care about him. Bob saw Atticus, Judge Taylor, and Tom
Robinson as his enemies. He says one down two more to go. (Lee 350)
5. In your own words, describe the details of the attack.
Bob Ewell attacked the kids. Jem yells for Scout to run, Bob and Jem were
fighting, They try run away from him. Jem is pulled backwards by Ewell.
Scout call Jem’s name and there is no answer. She only heard heavy
breathing from the man. (Lee 351)

6. How does Jem’s broken arm bring the novel full circle? How has Jem
changed since the start?
His broken arm brings the novel full circle because that is what happened at the
beginning of the story. Jem has changed by growing up and learning to
respect his father and what he stands for. (Lee 355)

7. How does Bob Ewell die? Do you think he deserved to die?

He died because he had a kitchen knife under his ribs. Yes, he deserved to
die because he wanted to kill Atticus and Judge Taylor after that trial was
over. (Lee 357)
